Excellent second series. Excellent modern take on an old classic. Good scripts, great acting, enjoyable.

As incredible as Series One of Sherlock was, Series Two managed to up the ante in detail, cinematography, characterisations and a subtle yet profound character arc concerning Sherlock Holmes. The exploration of emotional vulnerability in the process of the mind and the experience of Sherlock Holmes is fascinating. One comes face-to-face with our hero's 'Archilles Heel'. And one is still left startled and amazed by the brilliance of Sherlock Holmes, of the timeless Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the spectacular writers and production team involved in the current incarnation. A feast!

Sherlock is one of the most excellent BBC series in modern times.

The second series of Sherlock provides an excellent follow-up to Series 1. The game is on and Sherlock and Watson are at their very best. This is truly a superb modern twist on Conan Doyle's hero. A must for die-hard Shelock Holmes fans!

This second series takes a closer look at Sherlock, and portrays virtually impossible emotions of fear and love. These are aspects that were rarely touched upon in the original book. There are still Conan Doyle's trademarks here and there, enough to relate to the classic work, but each episode can stand alone by itself as a wholesome movie, it's that high-quality. There is but only one point which might disappoint hard-core Sherlock Holmes fans, and that is the showdown with Moriaty. Sherlock doesn't come out of it as proudly as in the books, but again, this might just be a cliff-hanger induced for a 3rd season. I definitely recommend this series, it's fantastic.
