STAR TREK gives a five-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations and to shoot them dead. The game centers on Kirk and Spock (voiced by the actors), and the Federation's first contact with the Reptiloid Gorn. You get to play as either Kirk or Spock, and both can be played as an online collaboration. Differently (but certainly in line with the traditions of Starfleet), your character gains experience through exploration (scanning elements of the game world) rather than just coldly killing everything in your way. You get to explore the Enterprise and Strange New Worlds and meet the crew (again voiced by the actors) as you seek to prevent the Gorn overrunning the Federation (admittedly by shooting many Gorn dead). Star Trek looks right, sounds right and has an enjoyable story which fits well in the Star Trek pantheon.
