They work well as wine glasses and the novelty of the light doesn't wear off quickly.

I actually got one of these for free as a prize when I topped up my phone and wasn't expecting anything too impressive, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a fairly good size (it definitely holds enough wine) and the 7 different coloured lights make it an and interesting and oddly hypnotic addition to the table. This glowing goblet would definitely initiate conversation at any dinner party after being ceremoniously produced from the kitchen. I think I might have to buy a few more so I can have a set; it would be rude not to share...
