I loved The Smoking Room - Series 1 And 2 when it was first aired in the UK, unfortunately it is never repeated so to get both series in a box set is fantastic. When first aired, if you were a smoker you could associate with it based on your own experiences with the smoking room at your own work place. Now that smoking rooms are a distant memory you also get the nostalgia of how it used to be. The show features some great performances from some old pros and also some up and coming actors. Because it is all based in one room it relies on a well written script and strong characters to keep you drawn in which it manages effortlessly.
