Quality not the greatest being b&w but brilliant box set at a great price! Excellent sitcom

A great collection that brings back memories of sitting watching the TV as a child.

Steptoe And Son - Complete And Specials is absolutely marvelous, comedy at its utter best. It takes you with it and brings you into their world. Initially in black and white, this in a way adds to the series, television doesn't have to be in HD to be true quality. I had only ever seen the odd episodes and the two films over the years, as the series pre-dates me, but I was tempted to get the complete DVDs. This was the best choice I have made, the writing and acting is sharp and crisp, it is without doubt truly wonderful.

I have never heard about Steptoe And Son before as I live in Sweden, but we have a show called: Albert and Herbert. When the complete box set of that show was released, I found out Albert and Herbert was based on an English show called Steptoe and Son, and I got really curious. When Steptoe And Son - Complete And Specials arrived and I started to look at the show, I was amazed how similar the episodes were from the Swedish version. It's a really amazing show and the actors are really standing out. This is classic comedy at its best. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.

This box set is a must have for any Steptoe fan. I always shop at Zavvi.

The Dvds simply take you right back to when we watched the re runs of Steptoe and Son. The Dvds are of good quality and you don't miss out on anything. Some Dvds you can loose quality but not with his collection. Well done a blast from the past

STEPTOE AND SON - COMPLETE AND SPECIALS is a series that I would never part with despite selling off other sets when viewed. I always loved the series and I think the last series was actually the best and its stories were more punchy. A great purchase and the best price I could find.

A must have for any collection suitable for all ages and one of the great clasics of british comedy well worth the price and a fantastic comedy for any age weather young or old and if you have never seen it before and you do not want to then your missing a fantastic oppertunity as in many cases with classic british comedy it is timeless and well worth watching as well as being a historical record of a period in time sadly now lost when it was a common sight to see a rag and bone man out and about upon his horse and cart going about collecting the unwanted items of the nation and they often carried balloons and whip and tops and gold fish or bows and arrows which he would give to any child bringing him any scrap or rags sadly a time and a period in history that will never be repeated and that can now only be seen in some history books and by watching Steptoe and son upon DVD in any of the formats available
