A Stanley Kubrick Classic
The epic 1968 science-fiction film, directed by Stanley Kubrick, was based on and inspired by Arthur C. Clarke’s short story ‘The Sentinel’.
The story follows a team of astronauts as they voyage to Jupiter on a mysterious mission. Their sentient computer, HAL, begins to display increasingly strange behaviour throughout the journey, and this all leads to a showdown between man and machine. The team embarks on a mind-bending trek through space and time after discovering a featureless alien affecting human evolution.
