Around the World in 80 Treasures
I imagine not everyone likes the very typical way of enthusiasm Dan Cruickshank wants to share with the viewer, but I for one am all for it. The choice of the 80 'treasures' is of course very subjective to say the least and you could easily argue for many other wonderful places or inventions around the world, but Dan easily wins you over for the Samurai sword as a treasure as well as the more conventional, but magnificent choice, the ruins of Machu Picchu. Be careful though, because once you have finished an episode you'll be beguiled to watch another one, and another one.. And after this great series youll be interested to learn about some other enthusiastic places Dan wants to share with all of us (his architectural wonders, some UK country houses, Tibet etc). Heartily recommended by a non-UK viewer!
