Though crafted with noble intentions, the 3rd Alien movie was a step down from its predecessors. The director aimed to capture the horror-suspense atmosphere from the first movie with a lower-budget drama that focused on the personal duel between Ridley and the Alien in a penal colony with unarmed prisoners. Brilliant, right? Well, the end product didn't exactly come off that way, and it has been blamed on many factors, including studio interference, the budget and an at-times underwhelming CGI Alien. Still a classic which brings the trilogy to a satisfying (?) close. Like the movie, this steelbook is underwhelming. Drab colors which, while in keeping with the atmosphere of the movie, do little for the images portrayed on the steelbook. Zavvi and Movie Studios take note: NEEDS MORE GLOSS. The included disc is region free and plays in my North American region-A locked PS3.

This is a review of the steelbook only as mostly everyone has their own views of this particular film in the series. The choice of artwork for the front and the rear are typical of most versions I do like the fact that the title is embossed and the edge has a debossed frame. Good look and reasonably priced....a winner!

As a fan of the Alien movies, i had to get this steelbook. I prefer part 1 and 2 but i also like part 3 and 4. Perfectly shipped by zavvi (like every time).

the steelbook was region free and shipped fast and dent free to the states. the picture quality was very good the movie overall wasnt a good follow up to Aliens.
