Five hundred years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

You have both got it wrong the person on the artwork is not "The Operative" from the movie he is a bounty hunter called "Jubal Early" who features in the episode "Objects in Space" He does look a lot like Chiwetel Ejiofor who played the Op in the movie though. But the artwork is correct on all accounts for the series although I personally wouldn't have chosen him as its a fairly minor role in one episode.
5 star excellent series and edition. Just like you say the other review is wrong the inside cover art is of the unaired episode 14 which is on this set not Serenity, it is a different actor in Serenity. It you have seen this buy it, it's awesome.
Firefly is such a lovely set. The cover artwork is crisp and pretty and the box and discs fit together nicely. However, the inside art features Mal and The Operative, the latter of which is not in this series at all but is only in the film Serenity which is a follow on from the series. Other than that, whilst its something all fans will notice it can be overlooked as this is such a high quality product.
