This steelbook is somewhat muted, with drab colors. The image is good however, and captures the feel of an iconic scene. The magnetic lenticular cover has a pleasing effect. The BD plays in my north American PS3.

This is another great title to add to the movie/Steelbook collection.. I was excited to see it come out for sale. It is a great movie and a must-have for us Marvel collectors

What can I say about Zavvi's Thor Steelbook? Having missed previous releases from other suppliers I thought my chance to add Marvels first outing for the god of thunder had been and gone. Imagine my delight when I found out Zavvi were releasing this! Then imagine my delight when it was delivered and I could see that this is probably the best looking steelbook version of this movie I have seen. Not only that, its one of the best steelbooks of ANY movie. A real MUST for any Steelbook, Marvel or Movie collector. A beautiful case inside and out. All at Zavvi's affordable price too. Thank you Zavvi.

I was very happy when first mention about releasing Marvel steelbooks was announced. In time when there was first editions released I didn´t collect steelbooks yet. Zavvi edition steelbooks are great looking, I bought for myself very nice Christmas present. SB arrived in fine condition.

Beautiful artwork on steelbook. Movie was terrific. After watching Thor I bought Thor Dark World steelbook. Highly recommend adding to your collection.

Zavvi recently re-released all the 1st and 2nd phase Marvel films en masse around Christmas time (a little disappointingly for both my wallet and sense of anticipation) but, having missed out the first time round,I was keen to collect them all in case they sold out quickly again. Along with the first Captain America, I would probably rate this as the best of the bunch, with its sparse but still striking artwork depicting a rainsoaked image of Thor, holding Mjölnir triumphantly aloft. Generally the removable, magnetic, lenticular covers are a nice, albeit redundant touch, but especially so in this instance as it isn't the same size as the main image and therefore actually looks rather distorted if left on. The film title on the front is embossed and its gold font contrasts well with the dark finish of the overall steelbook. Similarly, it has gold lettering on the spine, which also stands out nicely - something which sadly isn't the case on a few of the recent releases that are a bit difficult to read unless up-close. All in all, a really good looking steelbook.
