Loosely based on the comic book miniseries of the same by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones, Wanted, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, follows anxiety-prone office drone Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) as he is inducted into the Fraternity, a clan of powerful killers that counted his father as a member. Pursued by rogue agent Cross (Thomas Kretschmann), Wesley is trained by the sleek, sexy Fox (Angelina Jolie) and the charismatic Sloan (Morgan Freeman), among others, to be just as proficient and deadly as his father. Once Wesley becomes a master assassin, he must confront Cross, and contend with the stunning ramifications of that encounter.
Straying rather far from the Wanted comic's supervillain-centric premise, Wanted runs with the edgy Eastern European aesthetic of Russian helmer Bekmambetov, who garnered international recognition with the stylish vampire epic Night Watch. While Jolie is a gleefully destructive presence in her action-heavy scenes, the film belongs to McAvoy, who transforms from milquetoast to manhunter with verve and charm. And like the similarly themed The Matrix before it, Wanted also showcases some eye-catching special effects, most notably in the loopy concept of 'curving bullets'. Though devotees of the Wanted comic may be dismayed with the many liberties taken with the story, the movie is undeniably energetic and entertaining, making it fun summer blockbuster fare.

Great films, real bargain. Nice artwork. Only complaint, the box was a little battered in one or two places. Great!
Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 is a great set of films and brilliant on Blu-ray. If you're a comic fan, you will love this.
This Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 box set was crazy good value for money.
Getting Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 for this price is simply unbeatable. The quality is what you'd expect when you buy a Blu-ray, however Wanted seems to be a bit grainy. Anyway, I like the design of the box and at least Scott Pilgrim and Kick-Ass are must-haves!
The Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 box set is a great value purchase.
In this Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 you get 4 cool movies. Nice special packaging would make this one excellent, but nonetheless it's a great buy! Get it!
Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 are four great films in one pack, at a fantastic price for four Blu-rays! This is the reason I shop at Zavvi and I will continue to while they make such great offers as this! The films have already had many reviews so I will not go deep in to them. In this package they represent great value and if you are into Sci-fi and action films at the very least Kick-ass Hellboy-2 and Wanted are must have titles! For me this was an upgrade from DVD to Blu-ray and an easy way to replace four films I really want in my collection! three of which I already had on DVD! For me the difference in quality from DVD to Blu- ray is not worth the outlay at any price... but since prices for Blu-ray have come down like many I will replace my Old DVDs for HD versions if the price is right! All four films are good transfers and I did not notice any quality issues when watching them in full 1080p on a 42 inch screen.
Wanted / Kick-Ass / Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World / Hellboy 2 is a good package for the price. It offers plenty of hours worth of decent entertainment.
4 great superhero bluray movies in the same box. Box art is also stunning.
4 great action movies for a great price. You will usually find these individual movies for the same price as this 4 pack on its own. This website lists the blu-rays as 'Region B' but I can confirm that it works on a Region A PS3 and probably any other region since there is no listing of regions on the box. Anyway, the movies themselves are a good mix of comedy and action, with Wanted being the most serious and Scott Pilgrim being the most comedy. Highly recommended.
I won't go into detail about the films themselves; you either want to watch them or you don't. However, as action films, they are all decent enough in their own right, although Kick-Ass definitely stands out in this set, as well as Hell Boy 2 for its rich and beautifully imagined world that is great for the Blu-ray format. Scott Pilgrim also looks very good in high definition - the hyper-style 'comic book' effects are sharp and perhaps captured my attention more than the film itself. Wanted is less spectacular, but still a watchable flick. The main draw for this particular pack though, is its repackaging under the 'Reel Heroes' title, clearly taking a comic book effect to each cover. The artwork hasn't been changed, though - The original covers have just been animated to achieve the aforementioned effect, but I think they did a good job. Each disc is presented in its own case, which is another plus point as I have seen some compilation Blu-ray packs that put all the discs into one case. So, if you enjoyed or think you will enjoy these films, I would definitely recommend this pack as it is cheaper than buying each one individually (when I bought it, at least) and newly styled covers are great to look at!
I love getting blurays for the extra definition, but I hate paying over the odds for them. This pack though, really is amazing value for money. Scott Pilgrim & Kick Ass are 2 of my favourite films from the last couple of years, and are the primary reason I bought the pack. Wanted & Hellboy 2 aren't really in the same league, but are both action packed and make a good evening of high definition sound & action if you're willing to turn off your brain for a couple of hours. The boxes have a funky "comic book" design, apparently limited edition, that didn't really do much for me, but I don't buy films because the boxes look pretty.
