A courtroom drama with great potential, you feel like the plaintiffs: shortchanged. A very good story is in her, but you come away thinking that a lot was left on the cutting room floor. Subplots come and go, but through it all you have an interesting performance from Travolta. His character is vain, egotistical and riddled with pride and worst of all, hubris. Written and directed by Oscar winner Steven Zaillian (screenplay Schindler's List), it is predictably handled in places. It's chief strength is the cinematography by multi-Oscar winner, Conrad Hall.
