Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) is the voice of reason in the midst of a blue-blood clan of crazies who have become acclimated to the life of luxury after patriarch George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) earned a fortune in the tract-housing business. When George is arrested on charges of tax fraud, however, the family's assets are frozen, and the resulting life of relative poverty proves difficult in many unexpected ways. Matriarch Lucille (Jessica Walter) is an emotionally stunted alcoholic. The Bluth siblings include Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), a socialite whose multitude of causes serves to further her own social career; Gob (Will Arnett), a womanising illusionist; and Buster, a mama's boy who spends his time pursuing a nebulous career as a student. Lindsay is married to Tobias (David Cross), an out-of-work actor and former doctor whose sexuality remains undefined. Michael, in addition to tending to the foibles of his siblings, spends much of his time trying to be a good dad to his earnest 14-year-old son, George Michael (Michael Cera). This collection contains all the episodes from the cult series.

One of the best tv shows. Ever. Like so many others it was cut short way too soon by people who don't know a good thing when they've got it. Laugh out loud funny every single episode. And this continues on re-watches because there are just so many jokes and plot details that you miss and then realise watching again. Intricate, intelligent and hysterical tv. BUY IT

THE BEST COMEDY EVER?
What can you say about a show which came out of nowhere to launch the careers of several of it's stars. Arrested Development is probably the funniest sitcom America has produced - we should be cursing they beat us to it. A film is currently in production so buy this now and get acquainted with the ridiculous Bluth family. Jason Bateman is terrific as Michael, Michael Cera perfected his nerdy teen routine here as his son George Michael. Will Arnett and David Cross steal the show as magician Gob and repressed gay man Tobias but really every character offers something here! If you haven't seen this show then settle down to a real treat and develop your arresting interest!
