Putting the needs of his crew first, Commander Adama decides to turn down Cain's plan of combining forces to mount an attack on the inhabited Cylon planet Gamoray in order to obtain needed fuel supplies. Adama instead settles for the lesser target of two Cylon tankers to achieve the same result.
