This is the definitive boxed set of the entire series (1999 to 2007). The Sopranos was thought by its actors and creator David Chase to be a one off only episode. The US responded with amazement at the mesmerising and totally addictive storyline. The series has it all - the sometimes humerous black humour of the antics of US mafiosa - sex - violence -drugs and gore - its all there! Watching this is, like many of its characters, a complete narcotic trip. Reserve a weekend to watch at least 4 hours and I guarantee you will soon be looking for your next fix. If you missed this series first time round do not hesitate to purchase this boxed set - you will not regret it!

The Sopranos is easily one of the best american TV dramas of the last ten years and arguably set the scene for other shows such as "Deadwood" "Rome" and "The wire". Over the course of 86 episodes we get to follow the life of Anthony Soprano, a New Jersey mob leader. The show is a no-holds barred look into how organised crime works and there are many shocking moments. This is strangely balanced by a very dark sense of humour and the fact that Tony still has to balance his family life too. The beauty of the show for me is how all the characters are rounded and you can't help but like even the most disturbing characters. There is also a sense that no-one is safe, which adds to the reality of a mob show. The show does dip in quality around season 5 but even then it is still better thaqn 90% of other shows and the final season has a satisfying, yet controversial ending. For fans of TV and Film, this box set is a must and is also great value.
