The Stepfather is the chilling tale of a congenial family man (Terry O'Quinn) whose engaging smile and staid demeanour mask a deep-seated dementia. His obsessive desire to live the ideal family life has ultimately led to the family's very destruction. And now, having eluded police and taken on a new identity as Jerry Blake, he has another chance with another family.
Innocently caught in the Stepfather's web are his new wife Susan (Shelley Hack) and his rebellious teenage stepdaughter Stephanie (Jill Schoelen).
