Whilst Goodfellas and The Godfather are landmarks in their own right they do not even come close to the superb characterisation and writing in the Sopranos. For 6 superb seasons this programme has upheld the quality of script, acting and teamwork sadly lacking in most tv dramas. You get the feeling that every one of the cast members would die for each other such is the intensity of their playing. A feast for both the eyes and the ears! The most ground breaking tv series since, well, you tell me!!!
