Do you like B movies?

The question is, do you like B movies? These type of movies with Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Michael Dudikoff etc... If the answer is yes, you will like Rogue Warrior. Marcinko is a mercenary, who works for the US government in the 80s and is making different things (mostly blow ups things) in North Korea, China and USSR. The dialogue is very bad-ass, the voice acting was done by actor Mickey Rourke. The main problem with the game: - using the control for cover / like in classical TPS games - aka Gears of War / is very awkward. You need some times, to get used to it. - also shooting behind the cover is a bit awkward - the games takes itself to serious - there is actually only one type of enemy, however it has 5 or 6 different skins - the story is ... well, it is very B movie-ish - not many different type of weapons - close kill: the knife looks always, like it would be new (no blood, nothing) - very linear game play - very short (on "normal-mode" I did finish it in 6 hours - and I am not that good at shooter games) - nothings spectacular, this is not Call of Duty/Battlefield - the ending of the games is bad (somehow I feel cheated, that I don't get any type of "reward" in any form, just a rolling credit cast) - it would be nice, if it would have a type of Co-op game play (LAN or Online) not just some unnecessary Death-match Multiplayer The good things: - Marcinko is very badass (his acting, talking ...) - it has a positive feel, when you are shooting, the feedback is good (the sound of weapons is good, the same goes for, the same goes for the "power" of these weapons") - you are very vulnerable, so you won't and can't play, as you would be Rambo. You need to you cover many times. - with the E key, you can make different close killings (it makes the game play somehow interesting, but soon it gets repetitive) - it's for shooter fans and these, that are tired and wants to shoot things (but not monsters) - it's not Call of Duty and it don't want, to be (I like that) Would I play it again? Yes, I think I would. It is somehow nice to play, despite its faults. So, this game has many faults, however it has somehow the right feel, that some of us, kids growing up in the 80s will play trough minimum at once. I did buy this game for a great price from Zavvi.
