Aliens Colonial Marines Collectors Review

To explain the nature of my review, I must well inform that I will not be talking about the video game itself, this is about the collector's edition itself. The reason for such a distasteful set of words is that you must play the game yourself in order to divulge your own enjoyment and/or disgust for this title. Personally I found the game to be a thrilling bit of entertainment that I could have easily attained from opening a can of baked beans with my teeth. Now onto the review. After finding out that this game (by review standards) was more appealing if you threw it into a garbage disposal unit, I was more than willing to wait for a price drop and a price drop I got. Now I was surprised by the card used for the main box packaging. It is of the same kind of card you would see for Mortal Kombat's Kollectors Edition and that, I was happy to see. It also comes with a nice little sleeve (not that I care for sleeves). Once I popped open the sucker for a nice hefty nostril breathing delight, I immediately drew my attention to the main piece, the statue. the level of detail on this chunky buttered up thing is nothing short of decent. I would have loved the guy to have had more time spent on him and not the kind of time you'd expect in Las Vegas... Nevertheless, the paintwork splashed upside the oversized paperweight is sufficiently detailed. When it comes to the rest of the goodies hidden at the back of the box, I was happy to see they gave a standard cased game as for some reason, I personally feel steel tins are too easily scratched and therefore contain everlasting damage. Lastly you do get a large envelope sealed with an Aliens branded sticker, which I have yet to peel off (because I'm a sucker for keeping things in good condition). So in terms of what you get in the envelope, you would have to see the product description. Overall I find that what you get inside is a decent amount of stuff for the current price and more so, the game is not that bad. So contrary to what you may read on review sites, do me and everyone else a favour and make up your own opinions on such titles as this.
