Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is the innovative game brought to you by CyberConnect2, which pulls together the Naruto Shippuden saga in its entirety. This adrenaline fuelled game encapsulates both of the generations played out in both of the incredible Naruto games. The younger generation of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, where Naruto is just a hot headed young kid, is merged with the second generation of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, in which Naruto is older but still as quick tempered and wild as ever.
Generations continues the tale of Naruto and his journey through life, but with a twist. This brilliant game has taken all your favourite characters from both of the previous games in the series, allowing a wide selection to choose from as for the first time ever all are playable in story mode. This means whole new worlds are now open for you to explore, as each character's own adventures are now available to play through and experience, and you can watch as they intertwine with Naruto's own story.
Alongside all of the keenly developed storyline and character plot content, the battle systems have also been revamped and upgraded to match the high degree of quality that is featured throughout the rest of Generations. The various tweaks that have been added in to the battle sequences allows both the experienced and even the beginner Naruto player to pick up the technicalities of gameplay quickly. However, despite the slight alterations, the fighting styles remain true to the traditions set within the previous Naruto games, with easy accessibility and of course, fun!
This high standard of quality is amply shown in the incredible combat breakdowns, with visually intense and exhilarating animations and cinematics. Each attack combo and various button bashing techniques play well together in order to deliver absolutely devastating attacks on your opponents, with the added help of being able to use shuriken in battle, as well as other actions including jumping. In order to truly eviscerate your foe, make sure you use the chakra energy you gain from these actions, which when built up can combine with your attacks to increase their power tenfold.
Each battle will keep you on the edge of your seat as you fight your way to the top of the Ultimate Ninja ranks, fighting against every friend and foe you have ever come across in any previous Naruto game, manga, or anime. (Cat Emerson)

The Naruto series is a very good addition to any home with a PS3 but Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a poor attempt to collect money. I am a fan of the series but in this one there is no plot, no exploration, no dialog - nothing. There's just combat, I did not like that and that is my personal opinion. I hope the next one will look a little bit at its roots and I will buy it.
Naruto Shippuden is ideal for fans of the Naruto series. As a fan who has recently acquired a ps3, I decided to go for this game instead of previous releases because it has more content. However if you are not familiar with the series I urge you to think twice and look for better fighting games out on the market.
For the designers of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations I reckon it was difficult for them to overcome a game like Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. It was a nice try, but not enough. They polished their combat system which has been a success, and that gives it greater dynamism. However the decision to end the game with some RPG has been a step back. On the other hand the aesthetics follow continuing high levels of its predecessor. I think this game is a real gem for fans.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a great fighting game for a brief account of the series and is practically mandatory for all fans, but it's also suitable for anyone wishing to approach the wing saga of the blond ninja. Anyone who owns the previous chapter must bear in mind that the developer has opted to remove the adventure aspects We are therefore now in the presence of a more classic and simple fighting game that takes advantage of the amount of characters it offers. The series sacrifices part of the technicality in favor of spectacle. This is not a problem for the fans, but to keep in mind for those who prefer a deep fighting game experience, which this title is clearly not.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is another great entry into the franchise based on the popular anime. With content from both previous instalments and greatly improved flow of combat, thanks to some minor but incredibly welcome changes, it's better than ever. The outstanding audiovisual collaboration is as always the icing on the cake.
This was the first thing I bought on zavvi, and man I wasn't disappointed! The game is like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.5, but it doesn't have the mode where you run freely in the streets, it's only fights from the beginning to the end, with all new anime parts that tell the story of each character. Also now it has tournaments like in Dragon Ball games.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is an amazing game, but lacking a few things that could make this game a unique fabulous game. Generations have more than 70+ character available to play with, which is amazing. Generations have a good and stable online versus mode, which you can participate against many other players around the world. Generations have a unique anime -never seen before- cutscenses which will make you feel like "dam this game worth all that i paid for it"! Generations lack on long storyline mode, because you can finish the game in less than 10 hours. I find this game very enjoyable. and you don't have to be a fan of the series to enjoy this game.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations uses the same combat system as the two predecessors, but with some new features like the dodge gauge bar, custom item menu, possibility to use the chakra dash even during a combo and more. For the dodge system now there are a limited amount of dodge that you can perform, but it's not as hard to use as the two games before. The graphics department is always stunning with the cell-shading graphics, which is the greatest way to express the anime/manga world. The music is always from the anime series, and the possibility to switch the language to the original japanese dubbing gives you the impression of really watching the Naruto anime on your console. The online system is a feature of the last two games. Now, a new feature of the online fighting is that you are not able to see your enemy's choice so you will not have the opportunity to adapt your ninja. Go and play "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm: Generations"!
This is a great game for any Naruto fan and for anyone who wants to get into anime. The anime cut-scenes help you to better understand the story if you have never watched it before. However it is not a true sequel to Storm 2 and the story mode is very short and basically battle after battle. The online is alright, but you may face a lot of spammers. I'd recommend you play tournament mode as people are less likely to spam. All in all it is a decent game.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is an awesome game. I enjoy the gameplay on a whole but there are some things that bugs me. I dislike the new substitution bar as it makes it harder to click the block button. I'm upset about not having certain character rooster and an RPG gameplay but it is still very enjoyable. Also, I dislike the amount of glitches in the game as it makes it unfair. Hopefully these mistakes won't be repeated in their new coming game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a very cool game I love it and I like the graphics very much. The story is short but this way you win all the characters quickly then will be more funny to play with friends but it could have a little more characters of the first season. I did not like to have limited substitution jutsu and I still do not understand why sometimes it recovers faster than others - This is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. But otherwise it's my best game for PS3.
The game is very good, a lot of aspects (like gameplay and online features) and details (sound and graphics) are better than Storm 2. I give 4 stars to this game just because it can be even better in my opinion, for me the story mode in not a problem. Obviously it was better in Storm 2 but CyberConnect told from the begin that this game is focused in combats so in my opinion this could have be better with multiple jutsus or abilities for every character, making them changeable during the fight in place of the items with the cross directional buttons. However, as it is, very good game, probably the best fighting game out of a Manga/Anime of this generation.
Great game indeed, but the story is very disappointing. Ninja storm 2 was actually pretty decent story-wise, having a world to explore, gives meaning to all the fights. If you just have a card-like story before each fight, it gets boring. I just hope Ninja storm 3 follows the same path story wise as the second one. Naruto's fighting mechanics keep in general getting better, just wish there was a more advanced mode of how to play, 'cause knowing the basics can get you anywhere. Great game overall for naruto/anime fans, just that if it had a true story mode, it would be amazing.
I recommend this game to all Naruto manga/anime fans. The best Naruto game to date, with it's great graphic and sublime fighting system. The game contains tons of playable character, with different fighting styles. I very much enjoyed the Story mode, and if you're new to the Naruto-saga it's a great way to get up-to-date with the story. The game also features an awesome online gameplay that prolongs the game-time and add an extra edge. All in all it's a fantastic upgrade on earlier titles in the genre and I gladly recommend it.
This game is really great, and you can fight with brand new cool characters or old nostalgic characters. It's a great game for Naruto fans. The problem is, the story mode. First off, there is a story mode for every character which I find nice, but because of that there are no special boss battles (like in UNS2) or traveling at all, which makes a star drop. The anime parts are amazing though. To sum it up, the game is great but the story mode is a little repetitive. Now why don't you go buy it, and make Zavvi happy.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is amazing, the fight system is better than before, the online mode is better too, almost everything was better, you have the free battle that is better because you can make survivals and make tournaments.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is highly recommended for Naruto fans. It goes really far on the story like no other Naruto game has gone. It has an awesome multiplayer system, and tournament is the new feature. It's just awesome.
If you're a Fan of Naruto, you definitely don't want to miss this game. It has all the story about naruto, all the characters, an excellent multiplayer mode, and single-player. It has very good sound on the jutsus, and good graphics. It has all the tailed beasts, and a lot of outside stories. Everything about Naruto is in this game. It's a definite 5 star game.
Well, Naruto's new game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, has changed things a bit. Is it for the best? I'm not sure. First of all, the graphics are amazing, as always - the cell shading is smooth and there's not a lot of flickering edge's or shadows. The effects are smoother than the last game, the colours are more vivid, and the animations are more fluid. The main thing different about the gameplay, is the log action - the button you press to avoid incoming attacks and teleport behind your enemy. You are given 4 bars of energy that allow you to do it, and to be honest, they recharge themselves way too fast, so you can spam it and end up pretty much invincible. At first it looks good, and yeah, you feel like a real ninja, but later on in the game it gets frustrating. You never seem to be able to complete a combo or do something fancy. When you progress and learn to play better, you realize that there are counters but still, even they can be a real frustration. Overall though, it's a great game. I personally, prefer the last instalment in terms of single player gameplay.
About this title, there is not much to say except it's awesome! To all fans of anime and those who don't watch the Naruto series, I recommend that you take this game. There are so many new things to discover when you buy this game, believe me you will not regret it.
The time it took to get the game is to be expected due to Easter. But it was worth the wait because I loved playing the game, the way the game was in very good condition and I am very grateful to you because this was my first online purchase and I am not disappointed. From now on I will buy all my games at Zavvi since it is eternal confidence. Thanks for everything.
