You will have to measure and analyse every situation you find yourself in, and know exactly when to shoot, who to shoot, and even whether to shoot. You will be provided with an array of artillery including machine guns, a silencer-equipped pistol, and of course a sniper rifle. You will also have the ability to break your foe's neck should you find yourself in a close quarters combat situation, meaning you are prepared for whatever situation you wind up in.

Sniper Elite V2 prides itself upon the realism it delivers, getting details such as locations, weapons, vehicles, and uniforms all down to a tee. This sharpshooter takes everything into account when you are lining up your shot with the use of their ingenious ballistic system, which adds to the intense realism. With the ballistic system, you have to take various factors into consideration, including calculating gravity, cross winds, the weight of your gun's muzzle, and more. When playing on a harder difficulty, you sometimes even have to rely on smoke to properly gage the wind, and hold your breath at the right moment. In order not to expose yourself to the enemy with the sound of your shot, you can time your firing to coincide with noises of the environment, for example thunder. In order to get the best view of your target, you can place yourself in vantage points which you can secure by placing mines around your area, so no enemy can catch you off guard. All of this, and more, adds up to an incredibly realistic military sharpshooter that will keep you on the edge of your seat at all times.

There is an incredible bullet cam that has been re-introduced, which activates when you make a great shot.
