Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the eagerly awaited sequel to its predecessor Tekken Tag Tournament, which was released in 2000. Over ten long years have passed whilst Tekken fans all over the globe have waited with bated breath for this game, and finally, it's here. Revolutionised, revamped, and vastly superior to the first released over a decade ago, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is sure to make the wait worthwhile.
TTT 2 boasts the the largest character roster in Tekken history, with over 45 playable characters in total, including all 42 from Tekken 6. Old and familiar faces once again make an appearance, ranging from Jinpachi Mishima from Tekken 5, to True Ogre and the beloved Jun Kazama from the original Tekken Tag Tournament, amongst many others. This wide range of characters is a definite must have in this game, as combat relies completely on your talents and skills as a team.
Each player selects two characters to fight with, with the option to switch either out at any time within the battle. A nice little helping hand in this game is that whilst a character is inactive, they will gradually regain any health they lost during battle. A wide variety of attacks can be performed within this game, with combos being set up directly from tags, and extended tag combos and combined moves all playing a major part in crushing your foes. A new technique that has been introduced is the combined tag throws, which when performed correctly can set off a cut scene that will lead to your opponent being K.O.'d. These throws can also be escaped from, if you time it well. There are also tag throws/assaults, which can be done simultaneously with both characters performing the combo at the same time. There is a reintroduction of “bound” hits, which smash an airborne opponent in to the ground and allows the combo to be extended; this is made much more effective with the tag team aspect.
There is an innovative tag partner rage system within this game, which occurs when the character you're playing takes a certain number of hits. When this happens, the inactive character's bar flashes, indicating that they're fully charged; this means that when you tag this character in, they will have a strength boost induced in battle. The arenas in which you fight have also been improved, making them walled and interactive. The walls can break when a character hits them, opening up and leading the fight into a new area. Due to the tag team system, there are new rules of judging round wins or losses: a player will lose the round if either of their characters K.O., and if time runs out before a defeat then the player with the most health left combined will stand victorious.
Team up the best two characters and take down every opponent you come across in this fast-paced, hard hitting action packed game. Use agility, strength, and devise the best attack combinations that you can muster in order to be crowned the Tekken Tag Tournament champion. Despite how much time has been spent waiting for this sequel, it is more than worth it. (Cat Emerson)

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has very intuitive fighting, good balance between skill and button mashing and well designed online mode. It's not a pure skill-driven game like Street Fighter but pure button abuse will not make you win. The reward system is very nice and you have millions of options in the customizing menu. Good graphics and animations. Would definitely recommend.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a welcome return of the game that defined my PS2 experience. The tag mechanics are excellent, and open up many new gameplay possibilities. You can pass the arcade mode with a buddy, which is always fun, and the fighting is a bit more dynamic than it was in Tekken 6. Haven't tried the online mode so i can't really say anything about it. Overall, an excellent game. If you like Tekken, then TTT2 is the game for you.
I am new to the competitive fighting game scene, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the game that got me interested. Just playing through the tutorial, I realised that there was so much depth to this game that I would never master it. Then a coworker suggested that I see how good the guys online are, and I was blown away. I have been playing it every spare moment I get. I highly recommend this game to anyone that likes fighters because it is accessible for new players, while still having everything that a competitive fighter game needs.
Tekken Tag Tournament is the best game of Tekken franchise. You can choose any of the 53 characters and customize them in a various ways. You have an offline or online mode (online mode works perfectly) arcade mode , ghost battle and of course non experience players a practice mode .TTT2 it is a great game which you can really enjoy playing it.
If you play the previous tekken games, this is similar, but with the tag mechanic, the combos gain new life with tag combos and tag throw's. Very good graphic's, probably the best in the genre to date, and you can customize every character with very funny costumes and gear. This is the best Tekken yet.
This is definitely the best tekken ever, everything and every character is in there. Awesome soundtrack with the possibility of acquiring soundtracks from all previous tekkens and use them in game. Incredible character customization, new online modes with the ability to practice while you´re waiting for an online match. The tag attacks are awesome, with new moves and secret tag team throws that make you say UAU. A game that its not only for the tekken and brawler fans but also made to anyone to enjoy it, a must buy.
After 12 years from the last Tekken Tag Tournament on Playstation 2, Tekken Tage Tournament 2 came back in the best possible way. With more than 50 characters, the game has nice and smooth graphics in high definition. Even when all 4 characters are on screen, the game plays great. Graphics has been enhanced from the last Tekken 6 and also the gameplay is faster. You can play in offline mode with friends and up to 4 player or solo. There's some modes to choose from, including arcade, ghost battle, time attack and much more. There is also a mode for new players to learn the basics of the game to help them become masters of Tekken. The online mode has been improved from the last update, so the gameplay is great. It's also playable with your friend, that can help you get the highest rank. If you are a Tekken fan, this is a must buy. If you are new to this game, try it and you won't regret it!
Tekken Tag Tournament Two is a superb arcade fighting game. You may know that the last "next gen" tekken game was tekken 6, which, although was a solid game, had very little to offer other than the standard fighting modes themselves. However TTT2 introduces tag team games as well as 2v1 or 1v1 if you wish which is already a lot more exciting than being restrained to 1v1 fights. There are also a lot more customization option's, for all fighter's, and there are A LOT of fighter's to pick from including free additional characters which are unlocked via download over the next few months following the release of the game. To keep it simple classic (and in my view the best) tekken fighting game play, Best graphics in a Tekken game yet, tons of customization options to make your character your own. Excellent on-line fighting. Up to four players offline (2 v 2, if you have 4 controllers of course) and of course the standard 1v1 or 2v1. You can even team up with a friend in your living room and face opponents together online. Don't miss this game if your a fighting fan!
This is without a doubt the best Tekken game and probably the best fighting game ever. It brings a lot of new improvements to the series: much better graphics than Tekken 6, new moves and tons of characters, Tag play, Tekken Tunes (choosing your own music for every stage is priceless) a fantastic online mode with no lag, and the most polished gameplay of the series. Even if at first juggles took too long and the game seems to be too complex, the learning curve is really good and whether you are new or experienced on the series, this game is fantastic. Amazing product.
If you are familiar with Tekken 6 then you'll be able to just play Tekken Tag Tournament 2 easily. For those who are new to the game altogether, there is a mode called Fight Lab that teaches the player how to play the game. It also gives certain tips which will help when playing against somebody else. There is a large character roster, over 50 different characters which gives a lot of variety of choice. You also have a choice of whether you want to use one character, Solo Mode, or Tag. Overall, this is the best Tekken game in the series and I would definitely recommend it.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is not perfect, but it is perhaps the greatest Tekken game since Tekken 3. There is something really great about TTT2, I tried T6 but didn't like it. This is a great game, it is action packed. What isn't perfect is the Solo mode, this should be removed or a flag to prevent you from playing against Solo if you do not want play against it. Tthe tag is the best part of the game. Namco has done a great job with TTT2.
It's a very fun and addictive game, due to it being a tag game it will make you want to try out several fighters to see which ones makes a better match, since it has one of the biggest character's roster I've seen in a fighting game you will be kept busy enough so you wont miss the lack of a story mode which is the only down side i personally found. The online is smooth, you can have a practice fight against Mokujin while you search players to fight against. The tag mechanics take a while to get used to specially if you never played Tekken seriously or you are new to it but once you can pull of tag assaults it will feel rewarding. 4 people can play locally simultaneously which only makes it very fun to play with friends. Overall this games is a worthy entry to the Tekken series which doesn't make you feel like u are playing a spin-off. The post free DLC is great and shows how awesome and 'friendly' the fighting community is.
First of all let me say this was the second time I ordered this game from this site, the first order experienced problems with payment for some reason, so I re-pre-ordered still well before the game came out. To my disappointment the game did not arrive until the following Monday when I was expecting it on the day of release, as you can guess I was extremely annoyed. The game is great though and really brings together all characters from previous Tekken games! Game = 10/10
A great fighting game. Can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the moves that characters have but that gives this game tons of replay value. There are also plenty of modes to keep you occupied and an excellent mode to play online but offline (called ghost mode). There is an excellent customisation feature for characters. You can totally change what your characters look like. Online play is lag-less for the most part Fight lab is helpful but I wish they would give some more help. I had to look up some important features that were not mentioned in fight lab. Overall I would give this game a 9/10
Tekken tag 2 is full on bad-ass! Fantastic rawster and soon to be updated with more classic characters, classic levels redesigned, soon to be added classic soundtrack option from all other Tekken games and the option to use your own music for every level. Seriously... What more could you ask for?! 10/10
