Tomb Raider HD collection is a good value package (especially at the sale price that I caught it at!), including three whole games. For Tomb Raider fans especially, it's a brilliant chance to play through Lara Croft's adventures again in HD and with trophy support. The three games themselves don't quite hold up as well by today's standards compared to some other HD collections, but it's nowhere near crippling the experience. A very good value game overall!

Tomb Raider Trilogy

The legend of Lara Croft is born again on PlayStation 3. This is one of my favorite games since the original version on the first PlayStation. Looking at it from a basic point of view, it's an action/adventure game, with puzzle-solving and lots of gunfights. The graphics are improved slightly for "Legend" and "Anniversary", however, they are still poor in detail quality. The games come with a PlayStation theme, some Home rewards, and trophy support for all three games. After playing Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld (in that order), I can say only one thing - beautiful. I think it's a long way off competing with the Uncharted series, but it is a very good action game, that keeps you plugged in for hours. Simply because of it's legacy, I think the Tomb Raider Trilogy is must-have in every gamer's collection.

Three quality games for the price of one! Long time fans of the series will appreciate the rework of the original game, which is also a great jumping on point for the uninitiated...ie, the very beginning. Enhanced graphics brings the original game up to par (almost) with it's modern contemporaries. With tightened controls and additional moves Lara Croft has never played so well...though some of the camera glitches that plagued the series still rear their ugly head occasionally. They've focused on the three best games of the series leaving some of the more questionable instalments in mothballs where they belong (Tomb Raider; Angel of Darkness I'm looking at you!). 'Legend' & 'Underworld' go a long way to restoring some of that lost credibility. The Tomb Raider franchise has lost a little of it's lustre compared to the magnificent 'Uncharted' games but there is no denying that this is a whole lot of gaming for not a lot of money. This trilogy is great value and would make a fantastic stocking stuffer for christmas.

Tomb Raider Trilogy

I was never a huge fan of Tomb Raider although I had played many titles in diferent consoles over the years. After playing Underworld to the finish on the PS3 I was hooked, so when this trilogy with Underworld and HD updates for Legend and Anniversary was released I snapped it up. I wasn't disappointed because all the games are great! It's true that Legend (mostly) and Anniversary look a bit dated but they are perfectly playable and both look great on HD TVs. For Underworld I have to say that it is one of the best puzzle platformers of all time! Expect lots of tresure hunting, puzzle solving, jumping and lots of rope swinging in this excellent compilation of Lara Croft adventures.

These classic titles really bring many wonderful moments I've played once before but with enhanced graphics and the wonderful theme music. One thing that needs mentioning is that it may be longer than you expected to get three platinum trophies at the end. I recommend this to those hard core Lara Croft fans and other general gamers.

Tomb Raider Trilogy: Worth Every Penny!

I decided to buy the Tomb Raider Trilogy for the PS3, as I had already played one of the games, Underworld, and had a lot of fun with it. As I grew up with the Tomb Raider games, as many people did, I think I had a soft spot for the tough Lara Croft. Although at times she can become slightly frustrating, jumping to her death at critical moments and such, the gameplay is actually pretty good, and the environments look beautiful on an HD screen. Of course, these titles have been remastered for today's HD T.Vs, and they do look quite fabulous. At time I found it difficult to distinguish between the older games and the newer ones, as it all looked so realistic. There are also trophies available on all 3 games, as well as bonus wallpapers etc. for your PS3.

Good games but in general a wasted opportunity when the first raider appeared it was one of the best games ever produced. The games since have never managed to recapture the early excitement, if any thing they got to hung up on new weapons and movements and becme more one person shooters that RPG's, real pity. The trilgy goes some way to a better game but stil leaves room to improve.

Not the original trilogy, but worth it.

This package contains Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Tomb Raider: Underworld. All of these are great games, lasting in total from 25 up to 40 hours of gameplay (depending on experience). Like Uncharted, these games have a focus on platforming, combined with third person shooting and puzzle solving. The best of these 3 is the latest game, Underworld. Note however, that all of these games originaly came out this generation, and thus aren't newly remastered in HD. Anniversary is a remake of the first, but in a very loose way. Overall, I would recommend it to people who like Uncharted, or people who have played the original games.
