Aliens: Colonial Marines (Limited Edition)
The AI is pretty poor, but the game will save the entire mood of the Fall.

Disappointed
I knew that the reviews didn't gave much credit for this game, but it was very cheap so I bought it anyway thinking "give it a try". Played 10 minutes and honestly I think it didn't worth that money. Maybe the error is in me and others can enjoy this game more than me.

Not so bad ...
Reviews have been a disaster for this game... I picked it up for less than 7 GBP and ... it really was OK. Sure there are not really so many Alien parts in this game, but if you are honest we all played much worse titles. Did I enjoy playing this one? Yes! Lower your expectations and please don't expect a game that is more impressive than ALIENS the movie. If you do so, then you'll be pleasently surprised - I have been and if you can get it cheap it is definatly worth a try. (If I would have rented it it would have been the same price I think :-)

Aliens: Colonial Marines (Limited Edition)
I was really looking forward to playing this game. I bought it since it features coop multiplayer and has a nice theme. In addition Sega has many excellent Game Titles and distributed many good games (not the best though :) However on first playing it it felt pretty dull and boring. I felt like I was time travelling and was instantly reminded on Doom as it played like the first of it. I hardly sell any games and if I mostly force myself to complete them since I am kind of a completionist there. However with this game I couldn't stand it. It got so much on my nerves that I sold it after a few hours of playing. I cannot reccomend buying this game. Invest in others instead.

Poor but still ok
Aliens: Colonial Marines is good looking as far as the guns and equipment go but the single player is dull and lifeless, the AI teammates are slow and have no idea what they are suppose to do, the objectives are poorly set so you can get lost trying to find where you are suppose to go, the overall story telling is bland and is badly planned, the leveling up and customization is great because it takes a long time to complete some challenges to unlock things for weapons like skins, the story is extremely short for a game that has been in production for 8 years, the multiplayer is great fun and gives the game more replay value with the survival and escape modes being the greatest game modes to play(my opinion) although playing as the aliens can be boring as their are too little to be able to put up a great fight so its based off of clever thinking for these game modes also when you play as the aliens it is in third person and the model of the aliens don't walk on walls and ceilings too smoothly, playing as the marines however is great fun as you can weld certain doors shut, close shutters and set up a turret, the marines must stay together as the aliens can overrun one marine easily as their are three classes for the aliens that do make the game feel a lot like the very well known Left 4 Dead series with a class that resembles the hunter(pounce attack), the spitter(spit acid) and the normal aliens that can melee greatly, overall the game is fun for the multiplayer with friends and worth at least one play through of the single player story or maybe you could bring a friend along and play co-op story so you can have a laugh although it isn't as good as expected its definitely worth playing if you're a fan of the aliens films as a lot of things in the aliens film made it into the game other than locations, if you aren't a fan of aliens or don't like multiplayer or don't have friends to play games with then stick to the story of Aliens Vs Predators as the 3 stories offer twice as much as the whole Aliens: Colonial Marines story as far as action goes it just depends on what kind of gamer you are and if you're a big fan of Aliens so don't be warned of by me, after all its my opinion and you may have a different opinion of this average game.

Aliens colonial marines
Aliens colonial marines ... Where do I begin... In light of recent review scores I decided to check this controversial release out. I'm a big aliens fan so I did trudge through the campaign. Overall it was very average especially the final sections of the game where it was definitely thrown together at the last minute. It is definitely not worth a full price tag but with DLC for multiplayer and possible updates in the future. I'm sure there will be plenty of fun to be had with this clearly flawed shooter in my opinion.

Aliens
I so wanted Aliens: Colonial Marines to be good, but it's just okay. It's worth playing through the campaign, though some diehard Aliens fans wouldn't quite like the route taken. It can get dark and scary sometimes. The animations look dated, but if you compared it to a game 3 years ago it would be fine. The atmosphere effects and lighting certainly enhance the look or hide the details, depending on your opinion. Character animations are robotic and the companions sometimes hang around for you to catch up. I found it funny that one of your companions eyes seemed to stare at the ceiling most of the time. Multi-player controls are glitch-y, but you can change the control scheme to suit your style quite easily. You can customise your characters, but I'm not sure at what level/challenge you'll get to unlock most things, as you may have moved onto another game by then. It's okay, I've played worse.
