Solid game but lacking polish

I'm a big fan of BlazBlue, and since this game was done by the same people, I had high hopes for this. When it arrived, I was very pleased by the contents of the limited edition, the artwork was stunningly beautiful and the soundtrack is a nice addition that, in all right, should be included with EVERY limited edition. The game itself is a pleasure to play, the controls are smooth and responsive and the characters all have a very unique play style. The amount of modes are ok, and the difficulty curve is thought out well. The only complaint I have about this game is that it lacks polish in both the visual and the audio department. The music was not as epic as the BlazBlue themes, but it sets the mood. The graphics however are more suiting for an Xbox live title than a full-priced title. The anime screen borders and backgrounds are high quality, but the characters and menus seem outdated. If you're a fan of BlazBlue however, don't let this scare you off, it's definitely worth a try.
