Armored Core V
1 star as is a bit biased, but I was so shocked when I played it I can't see how in this day and age- when there's so many polished and engaging games around- anyone would bother with this. I literally couldn't stop laughing after 40mins just at the cumbersome UI and gameplay, really felt like a PS1 game. I bought it based on e15 price and Eurogamer review of 7 or 8. But I got more credit for it than I paid and got a laugh:) ...maybe I should give 2 stars then!

Review of Armored Core V
Not as good as earlier additions in my opinion. Areal combat has been limited, which was a big draw for earlier games for me. Menus and gameplay have been complicated further, which are not conducive of a pick-up-and-play experience I was looking for. I have a feeling this game was geared towards an online experience, which I was not looking for. If you enjoyed the areal combat aspects of previous games and/or would like to focus on the single player campaign, this game will leave you disappointed.

The game is really for hardcore fans of the series, it can get a little complicated and repetitive at times, but still an enjoyable play.

Good game, not as fast gameplay wise as For Answer but slower and more oriented towards planning. Nice and functional graphics, nothing outstanding. Together with its prequel the best mech game on the 360. Well worth the price!

I have been playing Armored Core 4 for ages! Warning though, if your not really into mechs or technical stuff, you're not going to enjoy this game... at all. This game requires understanding of a certain degree of logic and creativity, as it will challenge you, if you are patient enough, you will be rewarded immensely. A bit of warning though, unlike other games, this is more clan/team based, so if your team sucks, you're probably going to hate being part of clan, or you can just make your own and kick KOA out of their home base. Also, this game does not have a story - it is a heavy multi-player game, so if you are looking for a meaningful story, I beg of you, turn a blind eye to this game for that. In short, it's a fun game, but has a learning curve, and a lack of a story, a long with a buggy mutliplayer, but offers plenty of customization and strategy. This game gets a 7.5 out from me. If you're still in doubt, or unsure, my advice would be to rent it for a couple of days, play online, see what you think of it. When in doubt, try and do not fear change in something that might intimidate you.

Armored Core V is full of Mechas that are 100% customisable, and the whole game is filled with action, strategy, and a feeling of power. You create your own mecha, and each choice you make, could make your mobile suit better or worse, depending on your game style.
