Fall in love with firepower as Bodycount blasts intense arcade firefights from both barrels. Shred enemies and cover, perform skill kills and chain combos as you hunt the mysterious ‘Target’, a relentlessly evil enemy who manipulate world events under the cover of civil warzones. Carve your own wave of destruction through open-ended levels and battle class based enemies who’ll work together to chase you down.
Equipped with a mouthwatering arsenal of weapons, grenades, mines and airstrikes, rip your way through a campaign that embraces spectacular and indulgent gunplay and rewards creative killing. From the warzones in Africa to the dangerous Asian city streets, and through the covert bases operated by the ‘Target’, Bodycount’s multi-route levels become explosive killing grounds flooded with enemies and destructible cover. This high-octane campaign is complimented by co-operative and competitive online modes where you’re encouraged to leave no man standing. Go ballistic with Bodycount.

Appealing old school game.
First and foremost, this review is extremely personal. As I definitely boycott titles like Call of duty series, Battlefield series, and other foul military/propaganda (decadent western societies products) games, it is not so easy to pick up non ideologically-perverted action titles. Until I met Bodycount. Everything in this game charmed me. From the almost Nintendo 64 vibe, the overall graphic style, the open level design and the very strict (yet engaging) combo system, Bodycount just set something we do not see nowadays in "modern" action games. Of course the story feels minimalistic, the characters are not so developped, but there is something synaesthetic, the feeling with the pad, the way the character moves, all this is blended in an experience I enjoyed so much. Do not hope for beautiful cutscenes, or cutting edge graphics or many locations to visit (this could be a bad point); what is tricky here is that the game may look very generic for the majority of people (but don't the majority of people buy Call of duty ?) As for the multiplayer, it includes deathmatch, team deathmatch and a horde mode (two people struggling against waves of enemies). All in all, you really should have a look at the demo (on PSN or Xbox live) and try to maintain your bodycount combo high (like an arcade game); if so, the experience could be extremely rewarding. I can understand that people may dislike and dismiss it, but if you are looking for maverick and marginal games, you should not miss this tiny yet powerful action title.
