    Description

Child of Eden is the "multi-sensory shooter" that will send players diving into a kaleidoscopic matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals  that will usher forth yet another landmark game experience from the mind of renowned game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi, its creator.

Child of Eden thrusts you in the center of a battle to save Project Lumi, a mission to reproduce a human personality inside Eden, the archive of all human memories.  As the project nears completion, the archive is invaded by an unknown virus.   The Player’s mission is to save Eden from the virus to restore hope and peace.

    • Multi-sensory effect: A visionary entertainment experience that synchronizes stunning graphics and innovative sound design to electrify the senses. By bringing physics in synergy with spectacular visuals and audio, Child of Eden is creating the next-generation sensory experience
    • The world of Eden: Coming straight from Tetsuya Mizuguchi's creative mind: a unique, surprising, rich and beautiful world
    • Controls: Simple & natural. Designed for standard controllers and the new KinectTM for Xbox 360 controller. The Kinect for Xbox 360 controller adds an extra dimension to the experience as you truly merge into the game, with no physical barriers between the game world and you. Use your body to move the camera, and both hands to lock-on and shoot for a completely new and multi-sensory shooting game experience.

An almost caterpillar-like trail of black, glowing cubes, couressing around

A group of mantaray-shaped glowing creatures, around a huge whale-shaped creature

A bright light, with lots of dark, smooth objects flying off it

    Particular kind of awesomness

Child of Eden is not a game for everyone. Its narrative goes beyond what we are used to, so it might be somewhat confusing for some players to understand what is going on. However, Child of Eden makes for one of the most interesting and wonderful experiences I've ever seen in gaming. Each scene contains a unique universe full of "creatures" and other beings that are a delight to navigate. My recommendation: Play Child of Eden on the biggest screen you can get.

    A must have for Kinect!

As is widely reported, Child of Eden is the spiritual successor to 'Rez' - so if you've not experienced Rez you can download a demo of Rez HD from XboxLive as there's no current demo of Child of Eden for some stupid reason... Irrespective though, Child of Eden is a fantastic game, essentially an on-rails shooter but the game is really an immersive, highly visual experience set to a excellent techno soundtrack! Child of Eden is an overtly 'Japanese' game, which may take a little getting used to for those whom gaming on Xbox only means CoD or Gears of War, but don't let it put you off as you would be missing out on probably the best, most original and truest Kinect experience currently available. Not a long game, but endlessly replayable.

    Atmospheric but short

Child of Eden plays very well and smooth with Kinect and has an added bonus of working with a control pad. Child of Eden is worth recommending, especially if you're after a new experience with Kinect, as it stands out from all usual dancing and exercising games.

    Great fun, sore arms!

If you liked the original Rez, there's a good chance you'll like Child of Eden. It's (still) a crazy abstract shooter that will take you to new places. Visually or in the audio department you can expect more of the same as in Rez. Definitely grab this if you have a Kinect but be warned that it's quite a workout.

    Its worth buying

I got this from sheer word of mouth and have to say its really like nothing else, its just a straight forward shooter that uses music in every motion. The only criticism I have is that the difficulty curve spikes pretty quickly. Worth buying though.

    An experience for the senses

Playing Child Of Eden with the Kinect is like conducting a symphony, the very world of the game bends and moves before you. If you plan on playing this using an ordinary controller, don't bother unless you were a huge fan of Rez and similar games. The actual game is short, but sweet, and considering the price point you pretty much get what you pay for. All in all, if you have a Kinect this is by far the best use of it so far.

    hard core

To me this is one of the few hardcore games available for kinect so if you are a self respecting gamer and you own a kinect then this is a must have. Though the single player is not that long it is not like anything you've ever played, The controls are a bit difficult in the beginning but you adapt pretty fast.

    Brilliant yet short

This almost isn't a game but more of a piece of eye catching and beautiful art. This is a definitely a good sequel to Rez which have both made the musical genre more popular. The kinect is definitely fun and challenging to use but sometimes its difficult to switch from lock on to shooting down purple missiles. I enjoy looking at gallery mode as some of the artwork is quite amazing and you can even play about with the sound (add reverb or echo) though its hard if you got 12 missiles coming at you.
