The third installment for Dance Central 3 comes with a new retro feel About half of the songs are those your parents (or may be even grandparents) will know. This makes a good family game and a good laugh. The game has been updated with more 4 levels of difficulty for "perform it" and the songs are divided into 7 levels of complexity. Luckily, the locked song feature from the first DC didn't appear again so you can skip to whatever song you like. I am not much of a dancer but I think there has been an upgrade in the move complexity and diversity Graphically it might be a bit lower compared to DC2 or it might just be deliberate to convey the retro theme. Character outfits are repeated but there are new styles that you have to unlock. I can't say much about story mode, since you will need to at least conquer the level 5 song to start and I am still clearing level 4 songs. There is one thing I particular don't like about Dance Central 3. On the previous DC when you chose a song you can choose to perform or rehearse it. Now you have to chose Perform it mode or Rehearse Mode then the song. This means, after you rehearse a song and perform it, if you want to repeat the process for a different song, you have to chose the Perform it mode or Rehearse Mode first, then go though the long song list to the song you want. I personally find it a tad annoying. On the whole, if you have DC and DC2, and you value the style, the AI dancers with faces, names and characters as opposed to the faceless ones on Just Dance, you won't regret buying Dance Central 3.
Love this game not stopped playing it since I got it and it has a good song list.
