Halo 3 - Believe the hype
I've been a Xbox 360 owner for just over a year and at first I thought I must own Halo 3. However, I had my fair share of doubts. After searching many web sites and forums I came across such comments as the game being short, over hyped, etc. I finally purchased Halo 3 over a week ago and I must say that there is a huge reason that this game is so popular. It's simply a quality game. The story is just amazing and has a certain deep emotional element. The battle itself is epic as you fight against the Covenant to save the Earth and the Galaxy. I would highly recommend playing Halo Combat Evolved or Halo 2 to get more in touch with the story, but if you're unable to play them at least watch the Halo and Halo 2 movies made from cut scenes on Youtube. The actual gameplay is a lot of fun as you'll experience intense battles, great gunplay as well as come great vehicle parts that freshen up the pace. After the completion of the story you'll find yourself spending a lot of time in the multiplayer mode. Halo 3, being one of the most played Xbox 360 games has no shortage of players. Other features such as Forge mode that serves as a sort of a map editor can be used to do some crazy things. The ability to capture and share movies and images is also an excellent addition to the series. If you take all this content into account as well as the fact that there is additional content available for download, you really see how big Halo 3 is. Any doubts you may have on weather to buy this game should go away. This is a definite must have if you're a fan of shooters and action games in general. It's no wonder it sells out so quickly. I personally prefer this game over Halo 3: ODST.
