Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City brings you back to the start of the horrific biological warfare initiated by the Umbrella facility. It's 1998, and Raccoon City has been ravaged by the outbreak of the deadly T-virus created by the Umbrella corporation.
Prepare for spine chilling, adrenaline fuelled game play as you are instantly submerged into an incredible team-based third person shooter experience. The storyline instantly drops your character right into the heat of battle on the opposing team as an Umbrella Security Services (U.S.S.) soldier, becoming your usual enemy in an odd twist of fate that this game has planned. Your task is to eradicate any evidence of the outbreak ever existing, including survivors should you find any.
The campaign mode, which can be adjusted to suit either single player or have up to four player co-op, allows you to truly define your character; you will gain abilities and skills specific to their fighting style the more your experience level increases. As you trek through this vast and darkly screwed up universe, you will encounter many iconic landmarks featured throughout the Resident Evil legacy, and even the young Leon S. Kennedy as a rookie police officer on your hit list. If facing up against Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W.s) and horrifying zombies weren't enough, the US Government has also had the bright idea of sending in their own team of elite soldiers, quarantining the city and assigning them to investigate the cause of the outbreak. Prepare for elimination.
Alongside this, there is also an incredible online multiplayer experience to be enjoyed. This heavily competitive online mode is completely renovated due to the triple threat of the U.S.S., US Special Ops, as well as B.O.W.s and zombies. This game provides the full back story to the fall of Raccoon City, and lays out the foundations to the highly intoxicating and enthralling Resident Evil saga. Keep your wits about you in this high energy and truly thrilling game, as you never know what action or gun play awaits you around the corner. (Cat Emerson)

Poorly developped game
This game isn't good. I'm not the kind of guy who would make an angry review like "this game sucks" but this game isn't just good. It's not horrible, it's just poorly executed : there are a lot of glitches, the difficulty is sometimes terrible, the A.I... my God is it busted, and also this game has a lot of time paradoxes in the Resident Evil storyline. Buy it if you're a fan or a multiplayer 3rd person action game fan. Keep in mind this isn't a good game, but not a terrible one either...

Amazing online, but do not expect a classic Resi.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City's graphics are awesome! The multiplayer is great, especially Nemesis Mode and Heroes Mode. More DLC missions for campaign and maps for multiplayer are coming soon! There are lots of guns to choose from. It's really enjoyable for those who love their zombies and showing people who is boss. It's a great shooter and worth every penny, I cannot wait for another one.

Awesome
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is an excellent game, better than I thought it was going to be, and is a must have for Resident Evil fans! Third person shooter fans will like it too, as it is a more action based shoot up game than the traditional survival horror Resident Evil that we all know and love. All in all, great game! :D

Great game but lacking in some areas
If you love the Resident Evil series then you'll probably like Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The controls are completely different and you're not on your own when you play. However, the AI for your team are really terrible, they will constantly die and have terrible aim while your enemies will have no problem aiming at you! Another thing is whenever you walk up to a wall or large object you will immediately take cover at it. If you can get over these minor problems then I think you'll really enjoy this game. I suggest you play this with friends because then it will be alot of fun.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is very short and also very different, definitely not worth the intended amount of money!

Resident evil operation raccoon city review.
I would like to start this review by saying that any other reviews you have read about this game are completely true. The underlying game concept is incredibly broken. It was a nice idea but it has been terribly executed and delivers a rough and badly designed game. The AI is awful. Every gun feels under-powered to the point where people on line just run at you There is some good story elements for any resident evil fans. But you will have to endure some of the worst game play decisions ever. Overall I would say yes the game has some nice features to it. But it is let down by bad design choices and terrible AI. And this is coming from a life long resident evil fan.
