Description

Directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series, Vanquish™ is a sci-fi shooter of epic proportions with a fast, fluid and frenetic combat system, and an engaging and immersive storyline.

The story takes place on a vast space station in a near future world where nations war over the planet’s remaining energy resources. Against this backdrop, players take the role of Sam Gideon, a government agent kitted out with a futuristic battle suit. A versatile fighter with a huge arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, Sam also has an array of martial arts skills that he can use to take down his robot enemies.

Fast, Faster, Vanquish

Vanquish's entertainment: a shooter style of superlatives. Even on the difficulty level "heavy", after 20 deaths or so, you just can not get enough. You just have to play more and more. From time to time you need a short break to recover, but after that you MUST keep playing! I've even set Fable 3 aside to continue playing Vanquish, because I always wanted more. Too bad that the game is quite short, so in about 6 to 7 hours you may reach the finale.

Vanquish? Not bad!

Sam Gideon with is brand new Augmented Reaction Suit (ARS) can slide 40 yards on his knees along concrete, ducking through the legs of a giant bipedal robot while firing rockets at point-blank range into its groin. Vanquish doesn't do anything particularly new, but it adds speed. And triggered bullet time. Defects: single player only, short-term missions.

Incredible shooter: fast, furious, vibrating, crisp, smooth and beautiful. It is short? no, it is not. It just last what it has to without getting repetitive. A gem you can not let go if you like shooters and top notch quality action gaming.

Amazing game

Platinum games took cover shooter to the next level, Vanquish combines the high speed stylish over-the-top action of Japanese games with the tactical gameplay of cover shooter perfectly. The game's main charm lies in the rewarding feeling when you have mastered every aspect of the ARS: slow-mo, rocket slide, and instant weapon switching, nothing is better than rocket sliding into an enemy, roll, trigger slow-mo, empty your assault rifle at your enemy, change to your heavy machine gun, then finish the combo with a rocket launcher in its face! This game is guaranteed to give any hardcore gamers hours and hours of fun. A must buy if you want a new challenge in the cover shooter genre!
