I received my Xbox One and I was eager to get it up and running. As always with anything hardware and software related, there were updates to be started as soon as you turn it on. These are annoying, but need to be endured. After the updates, the Xbox one runs like a dream. Pros. Noise: I've had two Xbox 360's - the Premium and also the Whisper. Both sound like an airport when compared with the Xbox One, which runs very quietly. You can watch a movie without having to increase the volume on your speakers to cover the noise of fans - from the xbox or the power brick. Kinect: The Kinect is always on. This can be seen as being both good and bad. Once you learn the various commands which are fairly simple as Microsoft have ensured every selectable item is in Green font once you say "Xbox" e.g. "Xbox, go to friends". My favourites are the simple commands, which should have been available with the previous Kinect and Xbox - "Xbox, turn on" and "Xbox, turn off". When the Xbox is turned on, as long as you have setup the Kinect ID and are within range of the Kinect, you are automatically logged in. Has worked 100% of the time for me so far, which is impressive. Gameplay: Games run without complaint, although I have no idea how much of the computing potential is utilised by any of the games. The only lag experienced has been down to connectivity issues. There isn't much more to say on the gameplay as it stands, as if it wasn't an improvement in graphics or speed over the previous Xbox's, it would be a real disappointment! Controller: Following on from the previous iteration of controller, this controller is very comfortable to hold and use. Unlike the Playstation controllers which have always been uncomfortable for me over a long period of time. The only complaint I have is around the bumpers, which at first seemed less accessible than in previous generations. General use: The app store on the One is still limited as far as British video-on-demand services are concerned - no iPlayer, 4OD etc. This is disappointing, as I would have seen the One as a great opportunity for these major broadcasting corporations. Amazon Instant Video is however available and has been put to great use so far. Kinect voice commands still work with this app which makes it's use a joy. You don't have to pick up the controller at all. Finally..Titanfall I won't go on about the other games I have, as they weren't part of this bundle. Titanfall can be best described as a mix between Battlefield 4, COD and maybe armoured core. You shoot a load of people (including grunts (NPCs) and other players), you collect points from attacking objectives and you get to pilot a massive armoured mech, destroying people and mechs until you yourself, probably get destroyed. Either by another mech or by players shooting your mech...or even "rodeoing" - climbing on board and shooting out your core. Painful to say the least. I haven't had this much fun with a game for a long time. Cons: Kinect. Although I love how the experience has been improved, I still worry about the data which is collected when you're watching. Microsoft have made statements to the affect of "We don't collect anything from audio / visual inputs". Doesn't mean I feel any less comfortable about being fully...relaxed in front of the xbox. Voice commands can also be lost amongst noise from the speakers. Game availability: It's no secret that there aren't many games currently out for the Xbox One. This is the same for any new hardware. I can only hope that availability increases quickly and prices drop... Backwards compatibility - or lack there of is an issue, but not unexpected considering the move from 32 to 64-bit architecture. I genuinely can't think of any other cons at present. I'm happy with my console, the games I have and the user experience.

Microsoft's newest triumph

So what can i say about the xbox one that you haven't read or heard already? Well it must be said that its not perfect, not yet anyway. i am confident that with subsequent updates the little glitches and problems will be solved by microsoft before too long. What is worth highlighting is the transition between apps and games. The xbox does it with such ease its hard to believe sometimes. So far i have played zoo tycoon and forza 5, and once you've put the disc in and waited the 10-15 minutes it takes to update them, get to enjoy this marvelous machine at work. The graphics are obviously mind numbingly good, and the console seems to save constantly so that you can pick up wherever you left off. To sum up, i love my xbox one, and i'm sure that that love will grow with every day..........Thank you microsoft.

It's a wait and see

I bought this as it was the best price out there. The console is good and the potential is there, is say wait and see as it is in its infancy in terms of games.

Light Years Ahead of the 360

I recently bought the Titanfall bundle and was a bit sceptical of the quality of the console after having had at least 5 Xbox 360s over the years. So far so good as far as I am concerned. The machine itself looks nice, but best of all it is quiet. My 360 was like an aeroplane taking off at times! The console and kinect were very easy to set up and configure. The kinect voice recongnition and pick up of movement are superb. It even understands my broad Scottish accent. The dashboard is relatively easy to use but takes a bit of time to get used to after the sleek 360 dashboard. The controller isn't too far removed from the 360 one, but it feels solid build and can even be updated by linking it to the console via a USB cable. The headset is much improved compared to the bog standard 360 one. Much more comfortable and the communications are much clearer. Titanfall is a blast. An excellent addition to the online multiplayer market. I highly recommend this bundle.

Awesome bit of kit

After receiving my games console I was pleasantly surprised titanfall is awesome and the graphics are great. The reason this did not get a 5 star is because I also have a ps4 and the xbox one console does not surpass that - setting up an xbox live account was a nightmare and the fact you have to wait an hour sometimes longer to download your games to the console was ridiculous. This aside the console is still really good and I am glad I have purchased it.

Preorder of the Xbox One bundle with Titanfall arrived bang on time. Fantastic service by Zavvi. Titanfall follows a similar concept of COD, although it's online multiplayer only which will require an Xbox Gold membership you get one months free to trial it out. No doubt you will end up renewing even if it's just for Titanfall. Fantastic all round!

Excellent service, nice and easy to get what I was looking for and the delivery was top notch, I recevied text messages from zavvi and from the courier telling me the day before that I would get my parcel the next day and even gave me within an hour time window that it would arrive, and it did, within that time and a day before the release of my purchase.

Best deal around

I cannot put into words how satisfied I am with this purchase. I rarely impulse buy, but this deal was far too good to pass up. It was the cheapest online deal, and far cheaper than high street stores too! Further to my delight, the delivery for this purchase was super fast! I ordered on the Wednesday evening and I had my console by noon Thursday. Cheers Zavvi!

Fastastic Bundle.

In my opinion TitanFall is the best game to be released for the Xbox One so far. It's no surprise that sales of the Xbox One have doubled in the UK since it's release. It's a fantastic game which deserves to be played on the One rather than the 360. Much better value for the console with the recent price drop. A must have game to go with a must have console.

Xbox One!!

Got my xbox one on day one and i have been amazed by what this console is actually capable of. Many people complain about the price of the console and the fact that they want the console without kinect but the new kinect is capable of so much more. I would highly recommend an xbox one for anyone wanting to get into next gen console gaming and now it has titanfall ticks all the boxes. Best game out there!! Get one while its cheap!!!!

Amazing console, best time to buy.

I was on the fence about purchasing an Xbox One after getting a PS4 at launch as I was more convinced about that than the one but boy am I happy I got one, even more so with the price dropped with titanfall and a free game (nice one Zavvi!). The console is very slick and looks great in my entertainment centre, just make sure you make room as it's quite large. It runs extremely quietly and has nice glowing logos on both the console and the kinect which by the way is huuuuge improvement over the 360's kinect. Love the new controller, felt right at home since using the dualshock 4 for months after being a 360 owner. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and do not regret hopping off the fence at all, Zavvi offered a steal of a deal at £399 for the Titanfall bundle and a free game, I went with Forza which is amazing. Delivery was spot on and I even got a day before Titanfall's release which was a very welcome surprise, I definitely recommend the console to anyone considering it.

This console is truly amazing the graphics are out of this world I cant see why you'd buy a PS4 cause your missing out. The games are 10 times better and are the easiest and quickest to join multiplayer games with gripping campaign missions and storylines (Dead rising, thief, Battlefield 4)and no freezing, lagging or that non-sense. From previous experience playing on a PS4 is for kids its got god games but are for children and the consoles easy use but although the Xbox one may be a little trickier to use until your use to it, its for the older boys. (or girls) The accessories are also top quality, the new headset is great, it stays on your head better than before and the PS4 and the control feels amazing when playing , you really feel your getting the full gaming experience. With titan fall due for release in just over a week you need to purchase this console or the Xbox one titan fall bundle ASAP. #cantgetenoughxboxone
