Thor: Love and Thunder Zavvi Exclusive Collector's Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook (Includes Blu-ray)

A good steelbook and I personally like the design of the steelbook itself and the outer box, however it would be a lot better if the 4K banner and age ratings weren’t printed on the box itself as that ruins the design.

Now that disney is not working with SMLife and WeET permium retailers. These Zavvi collectors versions are good alternative. This collectors version is better than the doctor strange one definitely. Looks very clean and colorful.

The post End Game follow up to Thor: Ragnarok, with the same director goes too far in trying to be funny. Thor has been on a journey since his introduction in the MCU. His original outing, while not the best Marvel film had some pretty tough themes to get over and although it had humour, it is a more serious affair. Kenneth Branagh on directing duties, did a decent job of introducing a character that many may have wondered, would translate into a movie? It was a success, mainly due to the incredible casting of Chris Hemsworth (Marvel really did excel themselves with their casting in those early films). Thor: Dark World may be a low point in the series, but introduced a little more humour, but it was Ragnorok that really lit up the cinema. Taiki Waititi may have been an unusual choice of director (and co-star - the excellent voice of Korg), but he managed to blend character, a fairly ludicrous story and humour perfectly into one of the MCU's strongest outings. Helped with Tom Hiddleston Loki and other fantastic performances (including Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster, a scene stealing Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk to name but a few). Unfortunately, as with other MCU movies post End Game, they just have not been able to keep the magic going. Love and Thunder wastes it's stars in too many bad gags and humour that just does not hit the mark. Christian Bale is excellent as the protagonist Gorr, but is underused and the less said about the whole Zeus and the other "Gods" the better. It just feels that sometimes, Directors and Actors, when they are let off the reigns having done something pretty genius, just can go too far - a bit like Eddie Murphy, brilliant in his 80 career, but then wanting to play every character in his films, Taiki Waititi likewise had too much freedom and things just got a bit silly. Shame

The Streeelbook and extras are top notch I like the embossing on the steelbook Great packaging by Zavvi as always Its a shame that the actual movie is very dissapointing and given the succsess of Marvel, the story writing was poor and lazy. Come on Marvel, you can do better!
