Cinephiles are starting to put their Christmas lists together – and we imagine you’ll be asking Santa to get you quite a few of the titles hitting our shelves in November.
This month includes an array of new steelbooks and in-demand reprints of previously sold-out titles, as well as a whole host new 4K blockbusters and restorations. As always, release dates are subject to change, so keep checking the Zavvi site for the most up-to-date listings.
At the time of writing, this is everything we’re expecting to see this month.
Monday, 3rd November

We’re starting the month as we mean to go on, with a grand total of ten steelbooks arriving on 3rd November. Of the new in 4K titles, these include Edward Scissorhands, a Collector’s Edition set of The Wild Robot, action sequel Den Of Thieves: Pantera, Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Sole Christmas, and a trio of anime titles with the second season of Arcane, HAIKYU!! Movie: The Dumpster Battle, and Tower of God: Return of the Prince (Season 2 Part 1).
As for steelbook reprints, Pulp Fiction returns in 4K, alongside Universal monster sequel The Bride of Frankenstein and one of the definitive movie epics, The Ten Commandments. Also this week, Criterion are bringing Guillermo Del Toro’s Nightmare Alley to 4K, Arrow have vintage Sean Connery (Outland) and acclaimed J-Horror (Dark Water), Screenbound are delivering a cult thriller (Boston Kickout), and Crocodile Dundee has been restored in a brand new “encore cut” overseen by the late Paul Hogan.
Monday, 10th November

Another stellar mix of new steelbooks and sold out titles making their grand return this week, with the individual 40th anniversary steelbooks of the Back to the Future trilogy leading the way, alongside a 50th anniversary One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Dragon Ball Super: Broly – The Movie, and a new deboss Wicked release. The steelbook of The Running Man, previously released for the Arnie film’s 35th anniversary, also returns this week, to coincide with the arrival of Edgar Wright’s remake on the big screen.
Other big titles coming to 4K this week include The Mask, courtesy of Arrow Video, John Carpenter’s Dark Star, Brad Pitt blockbuster F1 and the 5-movie Predator box set, with cheaper thrills on the way courtesy of Evil Laugh, new on Blu-ray from 88 Films’ Slasher Classics series. Finally, you can get your vintage TV fix with the second series of Blake’s 7 and the entirety of 1970s spy series The New Avengers in newly remastered 4K.
Monday, 17th November

Three new steelbooks this week; a 50th anniversary restoration of Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon, as well as recent cult hits Nobody 2 and The Toxic Avenger. The reprint of the Blade Runner 2049 steelbook will also be making its way out of our warehouse this week.
Next up, Second Sight have collector’s edition 4K sets of Pearl and MaXXXine, Arrow have new Ultra HD titles including the Val Kilmer sci-fi Red Planet, and Radiance’s new cult label Transmission have unveiled their first release; gritty 70s crime thriller Night of the Juggler. It’s in stark contrast to Radiance’s main titles this month, including boxsets of political Japanese dramas of the 60s and 70s (Radical Japan) and French noir pioneer Robert Hossein (Wicked Games), as well as satirical crime thriller The Ogre of Athens.
Also on the way this week are titles including Hammer’s latest collector’s edition of a classic from their studio vault (The Men of Sherwood Forest), dystopian French animation (Renaissance, courtesy of Screenbound), a selection of Akira Kurosawa samurai classics from the BFI, and 4K restorations ranging from Best Picture winners (Out of Africa) to Brazilian sensations (Central Station, arriving courtesy of Curzon).
Monday, 24th November

We’re rounding out the month with an all-anime steelbook week; Netflix hit Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, My Hero Academia: You're Next - The Movie, and Berserk: The Golden Age arc – Memorial Edition. Other major sets arriving this week include a 62-movie boxset of Disney classics, the 10th anniversary 4K collector’s edition of Tom Hardy’s Kray Twins biopic Legend, and restorations of Agatha Christie murder mysteries in a new Vintage Classics boxset.
There are two more Hammer classics getting collector’s edition releases – Scars of Dracula and The Horror of Frankenstein – while other new in 4K titles include Billy Wilder’s classic dark comedy The Apartment, Howard Hawks’ rediscovered WWI adventure Hell’s Angels (courtesy of Criterion), and twisted 70s Euro thrillers Hitch-Hike and Plot of Fear, both courtesy of Indicator. That label has a stacked week of rereleases too, with a wealth of classic Robin Hood movies, infamous satire Watermelon Man, and many more new-to-Blu titles.
