Evil bites when a monstrous canine terrorises a helpless family in this legendary cult classic. Based on Stephen King’s best-selling novel, Cujo gives horror a new name. While Donna (Dee Wallace, The Howling, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) and Vic Trenton struggle to save their rocky marriage, their son Tad befriends the loveable St. Bernard who belongs to their mechanic. But what they don’t realise is that a bat bite has transformed Cujo from a docile pup to a vicious killer. With Vic away on business, Donna and Tad’s car trouble pushes them into a living nightmare — trapped by the demonic, relentless dog from hell. The argument winner

Been a long time since I've seen this movie, even though I already own the Dvd. If you're looking for a movie with tension, this is your baby. Cujo, a family dog has been bitten by a wild animal and possibly made rabid. As Cujo's symptoms worsen, his perceptions of reality change, as does his personality. Cujo starts to attack people that venture in to his territory. Even though he is a family friendly farm dog, the farm is his territory, it belongs to him. Dee Wallace plays Donna, her acting shines through as the mother in a desperate situation with her son, as Cujo prowls, and traps them. However they acting from the majority of the rest of the cast is questionable. Cujo is definitely a dated film, as is the type of acting (e.g. Unrealistic James Bond punches, and shallow acting). But it's definitely a worthwhile watch. Disc 1 has a 1080p restoration of the film, and stacks of extra features. Disc 2 has a Q&A with Dee Wallace and a new interview with critic and author Kim Newman. Also, there is a glossy booklet containing lots of information and information from the film and the production, as well as cast and crew photos. All is presented in a hard card-board slip cover. A very nice edition to anyone's collection that will make there shelves pop.
