Ang Lee - master painter
Director has done tremendous work to bring us no only with amazing visuals but great acting from young actor playing Pi. Fans of the book won't be disappointed. And what a slick steelbook this is!

Good steelbook, OK movie
I really like the look and feel of this steelbook. The movie I thought was only OK, no big masterpiece, but it was still worth buying for this beautiful packing and since not watching it in 3D was my biggest regret when I saw this in the theaters this was a really good bargin for me.

Steelbook Review
I personally was a bit disapointed with this steelbook... I was expecitng it to be more glossey so the blue color could REALLY shine and sadly thats not the case. The steelbook is a way darker blue then i had expected :( The movie itself isnt the best i've seen either but all the bright color in it and the 3D is AWSOLUTLY georgeous and the reason this movie is worth a buy.

Good steel
Great 3D version for a good film. However, I can not understand why Zavvi does not bet on lenticular steels. This would have been a good chance. We will have to wait for the announced Avengers lenticular steel.

A beautiful and moving film
I had read the book well before the movie came out and I guess I was as apprehensive as anyone else that they should even attempt it, but credit where credit is due, they made a beautiful film. Where the film lacks some of the philosophical nuance of the book, it more than makes up for it in sumptuous, dream-like visuals and some wonderful acting...and seeing Richard Parker brought to life so gloriously, i found myslef falling in love with the story all over again. And, even though my wife hates 3D, she loves the 2D version...but let's face, the 3D version is the closest I'm ever going to get to being stranded on a lifeboat with a Tiger! As if you hadn't guessed, I highly recommend it :)
