Action superstar Sylvester Stallone shows off his dramatic acting talent in this gritty prison drama as Frank Leone. Leone is close to the end of a sentence for a minor crime. But one night he is forced out of his cell and into a van where he is taken to a maximum security facility, ran by Warden Drumgoole (Donald Sutherland). Drumgoole has a personal vendetta against Frank and intends on keeping him as his prisoner for as long as he possibly can.
Using the prison’s notorious psychotic Chink Weber (Sonny Landham) as an agitator Drumgoole continues to push Leone as much as possible in hope he will retaliate and therefore have his sentence extended, but he soon finds out that Leone is harder to break than he imagined. -M.F.

I'd forgotten how great Stallone was in his early years. This is still an all round film. It has Action, excellent cinematography, an all star cast and a decent story line. I have welcomed this film into my classic collection and is one I could watch over and over, perhaps after a bit of break, but over and over.
