Description
When Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the Director of an international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., encounters an unexpected enemy that threatens global safety and security, he finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins for Earth's mightiest heroes. *SPOILERS?!* A significant death in this UK Blu-ray of Avengers Assemble "mistakenly" used a less violent edit from another territory. The scene in question has a diminished impact because of this.

I thought I was done with the Avengers, I'd seen it at the movies and half a dozen times on DVD, but seeing it on blu-ray really makes all the difference - if you're a fan of the Marvel films at all then you NEED Avengers on blu-ray. The film itself is more fun and action-packed than most other modern action movies combined, using great wit, humour and action to sweep you along for the ride. For anyone who had even an ounce of "geek" in their DNA, this is a must-own.

If you loved the Iron Man films, Thor, Captain America and the Hulk films, then you will love the over-indulgence of Marvel Avengers Assemble! The action sets are quite brilliant, the effects are of a high standard and the Hulk steals the best moments. I loved the Avenger comics as a kid and Disney have brought these to life via this movie.
