Big lover of most of Del Torro's stuff and this was highly anticipated.But it has to be said this is below par for him.It is not a bad film by any stretch and worth a watch,but where most of his work gets multipule viewings this will probably not get aired for some time now.The steelbook it's self is quite nice but nothing exceptional,they could of tried a little harder.Also it is a pity there is no 4K,this should of been a gimme
really liked this film at the cinema- a solidly lustrous noir. just glad that its getting a steelbook- the product itself looks and feels fine.
Zavvi steelbook perfectly compliments the contents of the disc. Something of a departure for Guillermo Del Toro in that there are no monsters in the absolute sense. Rather, some characters become increasingly compromised as to their morals and bring misery to themselves and others. This may make the tale sound hard-going, but that is far from the case. A beautifully made film with wonderful performances that seem both modern and classical at the same time. Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett are particular standouts for me, but there is not a weak link in the cast.
Top quality steelbook and another superb Del Toro film.
Whenever I want a steelbook release Zavvi is always my first port of call, never disappointed, this is no different. Loved the film at the cinema, can’t wait to watch at home
