When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenceless in the face of the relentless Kaiju.
On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes - a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) - who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Great film
This is a brilliant film, thrilling and exciting to watch, recommended viewing!
Sci-fi glory
This movie is a must for any sci-fi fan, great fighting scenes and CGI and the storyline ain#t that bad. Also the unique Jaegers (robots) the movie offers gives it a variety of action scenes.
Epic!
Excellent movie with spectacular action scenes. Only little bump in the road is the rythm: the first 15 minutes or so are awesome with the introduction of Gipsy Danger and Knifehead but after that there is a long hal an hour to the next combat sequence. Still, if you like SciFi, big robots and monsters you should watch it
Pacific Rim - BluRay & UltraViolet
Great film in HD really enjoyed watching it with my Son over the festive period. Fantastic effects with a gripping storyline. Good to get the Digital Edition (Ultraviolet) format in as well.
Awesome!!!
Huge robots fighting humongous alien monsters in a world created by Guilermo del Toro. There is no better recommendation.
