Live-in nurse Maud (Morfydd Clark) arrives at the home of Amanda (Jennifer Ehle), a famous dancer now frail from illness and trapped in her grand, isolated house. At first Amanda is intrigued by this religious young woman, who provides distraction from her failing health.
Maud, in turn, is bewitched by her new patient. But Maud is not all that she seems. She is tormented by a violent secret from her past and by ecstatic messages she believes are directly from God. She becomes convinced she has been sent to Amanda not simply as a nurse, but to serve a divine purpose. As her grip on reality slides out of control, Maud's care turns into a deadly mission to save Amanda's soul, by any means necessary.

For my money SAINT MAUD was the best film of 2020, and so it seems appropriate that it should be released in such a gorgeous steelbook: vibrant colours and a suitably macabre design. A thing of dark beauty.
This is such a great movie, so great it left me wanting more. It could of been a bit longer, but I still loved it regardless. As always, amazing service from Zavvi. Thank you :)
Great psychological horror film that will leave you shocked! with a great lead performance from Morfydd Clark as Maud and a great directing debut from Rose Glass. Look out for Rose glass in future projects. Really nice artwork on the steelbook.
Fantastic debut from Rose Glass! This psychological horror dives deep into the psyche of a woman struggling with her new round faith and her supposed purpose in life, when she begins working as a live in nurse for a retired dancer. Highly recommend as one of the best movies of 2020 and Zavvi’s service was great as always!
A compelling, disturbing and beautifully acted epiphany to loneliness, mental illness and religious devotion. Transcends the horror genre with both style and substance, with Morfydd Clark superb as the titular Saint Maud. The final scene stays long in the mind's eye. Beautifully illustrated steenbok makes this a collectible for the future.

Really beautiful artwork on this steelbook and a great small scale psychological character study.
Very much enjoyed this original slow paced British psychological drama/horror centred around religion, loneliness and mental illness, was Maud slowly desending into delusional madness or was this devoted believer actually connected? Contains some extreme/upsetting scenes which may not be for everyone. Great directional debut from Rose Glass, for which i will certainly keep an eye out.
Quick word on delivery and packaging: Both excellent. Fast delivery and amazing artwork. The film does suffer slightly from being a little over-hyped but its still an extraordinarily assured film with an incredible central performance. Absolutely worth a watch. Get on it.
