From Aardman, the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, SHAUN THE SHEEP THE MOVIE is coming to UK cinemas on February 6!
SHAUN is a clever, mischievous sheep who lives with his flock on Mossy Bottom Farm, under the nominal supervision of The Farmer. Despite Shaun's best efforts, life on the farm has got into a bit of a rut, and Shaun concocts a cunning plan - to have a day off.
Events rapidly escalate out of control and Shaun's mischief inadvertently leads to the hapless farmer being taken away from the farm and into the Big City.
With the flock's help, Shaun must leave the farm for the first time in order to rescue The Farmer. But how will the sheep survive? Can they avoid being recognised as sheep and thus avoid the clutches of a fearsome animal catcher? In the course of an action-packed adventure they experience a host of wild and funny mishaps, as well as meeting new and interesting characters, including a little orphan dog called Slip who makes Shaun realise that having a home and a family is not something to be taken for granted.

I certainly didn't get the wool pulled over my eyes
From the same 'stable' or 'farm-yard' as 'Chicken Run' and 'Wallace and Gromit' comes Shaun the Sheep. The charming and street smart sheep that inhabits CBeebies makes the jump(er) to the big screen. When the runaway caravan, complete with the farmer inside, crashes in the big city it's up to Bitzer the dog and the flock to go to the rescue. Unfortunately, the farmer has lost his memory and wanders aimlessly about the city whilst his animal friends cause havoc. This film has a receipe and pedigree to be a cracker and it is. Plenty of slapstick to keep the youngsters amused as well as some really slick sight jokes to keep the adults chuckling. Add in an amimal catcher who takes his job far too seriously and an hilarious trip to a posh restaurant with the flock disguised as hikers, you certainly don't have a receipe for mutton stew but a menu for a great time on those rainy summer days. Brilliant.
