The Treasure of the Sierra Madre - Steelbook Edition
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre - Steelbook Edition
  • Description

Gold in the hills, avarice in the hearts of men. Two hard-luck drifters (Humphrey Bogart and Tim Holt) and a grizzled prospector (Walter Huston) discover gold. Then greed and paranoia set in. Shot in Mexico, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre cost a then-huge $3 million - and led to a showdown. Jack Warner argued top-billed Bogart shouldn't die before the finale. But John Huston stood his ground and won Academy Awards for his direction and screenplay. And his dad took the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Without awards, but with enduring acclaim, is Bogart's performance, transforming from a likable hobo to a heartless thug simmering in greed. Treasure's place on the American Film Institute's Top 100 American Films list reaffirms it's still a powerful movie.

treasure of the sierra madre

this is Bogart at his best you can feel the tension rising in bogart when he gets paranoid about one or both of his partners steeling his gold until he eventualy snaps this is a must see movie

Excellent Steelbook for a Classic Movie

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre - Steelbook Edition is a classic Bogart movie which inspires introspective ruminations on greed and its effects on partnerships. Housed in an excellent steelbook case that pays homage to the classic poster art styles. Shipped without damage in a good protective box by Zavvi. Plays in my region A, North American PS3.

Nice steelbook

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a nice steelbook for a great movie.
