Zavvi - The Home of Pop Culture

Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie outbreak thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world.

Jung-seok (Gang Dong-won), a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation on the quarantined peninsula with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.

Yet again, another fantastic edition to the collection!

Again the artwork on this steelbook is just beautiful. This film itself is nowhere near as good as its predecessor, but thats to be expected, but it still a fun watch to chill out to, especial in 4k goodness.

Cool

Though it did take a long long time to arrive when it finally did it was worth the wait it looks very cool great design will look amazing in my steelbook collection that I have started and I cant wait to watch it as the first was awesome hopefully this will be too

A love/hate review

The steelbook itself is pretty cool... the film, however, is not. Sub-par (and over-used) CGI in the second half of the movie really ruins the promise of the first hour. Train To Busan was an excellent addition to the zombie genre but unfortunately the sequel is a swing and a miss.

Disappointing follow up

After Train to Busan blew everyone away there were high hopes for its sequel. Sadly it’s a sequel in name only. No returning characters or setting other than it is one again set in an area of Korea. The film chugs along nicely enough and is inoffensive in its average action and characters but it is severely let down by circa 2000 bad cgi which is abundant throughout.

Peninsula

The steel book looks amazing and the film is obviously amazing too! The quality of both the steel book and film are incredible and would highly recommend getting any of Zavvi’s limited edition blu rays or box sets! You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Train to Busan Presents Peninsula

Amazing film, one of the best zombie films since 2004's dawn of the dead, top notch, 😊

Back to Busan?

Good film not as good as the first film but still worth a watch. Very nice steelbook as well. Came on time, so im happy with the purchase

Great follow up to Train to Busan

Visually lush, high octane action, with some emotional scenes not usually associated with the genre (unless you're talking Train to Busan itself). Some of the action is a bit 'video gamey', namely the car chases, but the gun play and zombie stuff is top notch. This film looks and sounds incredible. A worthy follow up that doesn't lean too heavily on its predecessor, but instead breaks new ground.

Brilliant Companion Film To A Classic!

I don’t understand why this film is getting negative reviews, I think it’s a brilliant zombie film. Is it better than Train To Busan (a true classic in my mind)?, no but it makes for a great companion film and a solid entry to the trilogy. This film takes place four years after the first two films and has a very engaging storyline, a lot of zombies and amazing action to boot. The car chase towards the end is just breathtaking (even if it’s mostly done by a lot of CGI), very Fast And The Furious but with hordes of zombies mixed in. If your a fan of Train To Busan or if your just a zombie film fan in general, you won’t regret buying this film, it’s miles better than any of the horror and action films that Hollywood has pumped out lately. The steelbook is also very beautiful too, the art work is stunning and well worth the extra money.
