Ex-Special Forces operator Frank Martin lives what seems to be a quiet life along the French Mediterranean, hiring himself out as a mercenary "transporter" who moves goods - human or otherwise - from one place to another. No questions asked. Carrying out mysterious and sometimes dangerous tasks in his tricked-out BMW, Frank adheres to a strict set of rules, which he never breaks. Rule One: Never change the deal. Rule Two: No names - Frank doesn't want to know whom he's working for, or what he's transporting. Rule Three: never look in the package. However, when Frank discovers his newest transport contains a beautiful, gagged woman, violating Rule Three, he proceeds to break his other two rules and make up his own code of survival.

These are the movies that catapulted Jason Statham from ensemble player for Guy Ritchie to headlining action hero. Statham displaces a cool macho screen presence and fantastic fighting ability. The Transporter movies are harmlessly dumb, fun roller coaster rides that are well worth revisiting. They may not be the best examples of the action movie genre but are by no means the worst. Its just a pity the extra space allowed on the Blu Ray format wasn't used to better effect by including more extras but at least you get some. Transporter 1 has a Statham commentary and Transporter 2 has deleted scenes, making of, gag reel and music video. All in all, this is a great price for two slices of action movie goodness.
A brilliant double DVD full of excitment and adventure. Jason Statham was brilliant as Frank Martin and it's a DVD worth having in your collection.
Transporter 1 and 2 are awesome films. This is truly Jason Statham at his best.
