Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is a hilariously gory, horror comedy, doing for killer rednecks what ‘Shaun of the Dead’ did for zombies. Tucker and Dale (Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine) are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count.
Tucker and Dale Vs Evil has been a hit on the festival circuit, debuting at Sundance, and winning the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges.

I was not expecting Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil to be as good as it is. Thought it might just be a tongue-in-cheek parody of horror films but it is a lot lot more funny than those movies! I rented it at first, but when I saw the excellent price that Zavvi were selling the blu-ray for, I did not hesitate to snap it up!
Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil is a great movie, and very funny. This is highly recommended!

Well worth your time., 12 Feb 2012 By Mervy Catley This review is from: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil [DVD Blu-ray] Tucker & Dale are two charming hillbillies, happy within themselves but shy out of their comfort zone. Their lives are invaded by a group of preppy college students who, through a series of unfortunate events believe them to be hillbillies of the murdering kind. The film is a parody of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre genre, something it nods to on more than one occasion. Tucker & Dale are very likeable characters and you will find yourself rooting for them. Dale in particular has a very sweet relationship with one girls and it's charming to watch. But the real point of this film is the comedy and it does this very well. There's a part of me that wants to point out that the misunderstandings that lead to the humour are quite slapstick and sometimes you can see them coming. But this isn't a criticism, there is no arguing with the fact that the film is laugh-out-loud funny for a good amount of time, it's just an observation. Good comedies have been thin on the ground this year so this is a real gem. Watch it, you'll like it.
Great film, some very funny and heart warming moments. I suppose some of is is slightly goofy but hey it's a comedy. Best scene, is when the sheriff turns up... Very good way to "kill" 90 mins.
Definately a must have movie for all those who like comedy horror. Note that there is only english language available. No bonus content on this bluray.
