Unforgiven - 4K Ultra HD Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook

Why is steelbook art getting worse and worse? This is utter rubbish. If it's so time-consuming and expensive to commission original designs, then simply use the original poster art, which I reckon is what most collectors want anyway.

Super wicked awesome film. They could have found a better shot for the steel book art work though. It’s a film depicting the harsh reality of living a violent life. So they went with a cowboy on a horse. I would say it’s a little on the nose, but they cropped that out. Even so, a great addition to the collection. Good upgrade over blu ray release.

GREAT MOVIE

I am not going to review the film because most will know it's Clint Eastwood's best Western if not best film. I have owned this film on VHS, DVD and Blu Ray and I can tell you this 4K remaster is the best I have ever seen the film. The is greater detail to the picture but it's not over done like some films the colours look more realistic compared to the Blu Ray version release from a few years back. No Dolby Atmos track which is bit disappointing but the DTS HD track does a good enough job. No new extras here they are all on the standard Blu Ray and are all from the earlier release.

We can all agree, that “Unforgiven” is a classic and is still a very powerful western swan song for the great Clint Eastwood. I know that the artwork of this 4K steelbook has received a lot of negative feedback, but I really like it. I think the design has wonderful colours to it and I like how the artwork is all about William Munny (Eastwood) and Ned Logan (Morgan Freeman), as the film is all about the two old friends on the road to redemption for their wrong deeds of the past. This masterpiece looks amazing in 4K and it’s the best it’s ever looked, well worth the upgrade from standard HD. Thanks Zavvi for a fantastic steelbook and I’m so glad that it’s now in my collection.

The Steelbook has Clint on his horse on the front & silhouettes of them on their horses on the rear. Also pics inside the cover & rear. This is a great Western film with great acting Gene Hackman won best supporting actor for his portrayal of Little Bill. A Mean Sheriff that bends the law to suit himself so he can bully batter & shoot anyone who is seen as a threat to his quiet town. The visuals are great the great scenery of the wild west in 4K. The sound is a DTS track & the film sounded great on my TV with loud gunshots & dialogue which is also a great part of this story. A great price for a Steelbook & a classic Western.

I have loved this fantastic film ever since it's theatrical release. When I saw this steelbook and reviews of the transfer I had to have it. The steelbook is absolutely gorgeous and the cover art is perfect. In inside artwork is a simplistic picture but is absolutely beautiful! The back artwork is exactly what I would expect to see after finishing the film. It has a classic western feel without being generic or boring. The video and audio transfer honors this movie with 5☆ quality. Any fan of the film, Clint or westerns will thoroughly enjoy their purchase of this quality steelbook.

This 4K edition sweeps through the Wild West following in the justice as only Eastwood can dole out. The picture and sound allow the open plans to live again.

Steelbook looks amazing, picture diesnt do it justice. And movie of course is one of the best westerns out there
