Better than I expected. My anticipation for this MCU entry was low but the trailers got my interest enough to go. Really fun entry with plenty of humour & some good action sequences . Has nice references & connections to Agent Carter & S.H.I.E.L.D's past. Really impressive cgi to make Michael Douglas appear young for a flash back scene. Good family fun film, that shouldn't be missed. Few scenes where shrinking goes wrong, with some violence & occasional swear words that may not be suitable for young children, hence the 12 rating.
So I am a marvel superman but I did not have high hopes for Antman. The premise seemed ridiculous, I didn't hear good things and I'm always a bit skeptical when there's a marvel film that doesn't involve the big 4 (you know who they are). The only thing that I thought could save this film was Paul Rudd (I heart him a little bit) and I was right. This film has got Paul Rudds personality stamped all over it and who can complain about that. If you've seen Friends or role models you'll know what I mean. Even without Paul Rudd's quirkiness it's not a bad film. It obviously doesn't compare with the likes of Iron Man, Thor or the Avengers but as an introductory film to the Ant-man character it does a pretty good job. Maybe not a re-watcher like the other Marvel films (which I've seen more than I would like to admit) but definitely worth a watch and if you're a Marvel fanatic like me then it's a must watch because he does turn up in the new Avengers and I believe he will turn up again.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this film 'ant man' doesn't sound that impressive was the film was great fun, the whole family (3-18) loved it
Brilliant film! All the marvel films are! It's a must wacth for any marvel fan
