The Godfather Part 2
In what is undeniably one of the best sequels ever made, Francis Ford Coppola continues his epic Godfather trilogy with this saga of two generations of power within the Corleone family. Coppola, working once again with author Mario Puzo, crafts two interwoven stories that work as both prequel and sequel to the original. One shows the humble Sicilian beginnings and New York rise of a young Don Vito, now played in an Oscar-winning performance for Best Supporting Actor by Robert De Niro. The other shows the ascent of Michael (Al Pacino) as the new Don. Reassembling many of the cast members who helped make The Godfather, Coppola produced a movie of staggering magnitude and vision. The film received eleven Academy Award nominations, winning six including Best Picture of 1974.

In the final installment of the epic Corleone trilogy, Al Pacino reprises his role as powerful family leader Michael Corleone. Now in his 60s, Michael is consumed with guilt for his past deeds while he plans his family's re-emergence as a completely legitimate corporation in this exciting, long-awaited film. Masterfully exploring the themes of power, tradition, revenge and love, Francis Ford Coppola directs Pacino, Andy Garcia, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, Eli Wallach, Sofia Coppola, Joe Mantegna and others in this final chapter of the trilogy. Godfather trilogy
Excellent service and delivery was spot on. The quality of goods is excellent! Would use Zavvi again to purchase goods and would feel very confident about the purchase. price was excellent and matched other sites selling same product.

Still as good as when first released all those years ago. Outstanding remastering job. All this and obtained from Zavvi at the amazing price that is under a tenner. What more could you ask!!

The Godfather Two holds the distinction of being one of the the few films where the sequal is better than the first film. Not so much of a big deal - well it is when you consider that the Godfather I is recognised as one of the greatest films ever. Godfather III never really hits the heights of the first two but if it had been a stand alone film like Goodfellas or Casino would have undoubtedly had a better billing than it did. There are many reasons to reccommend this however nothing surpasses seeing three of the greatest actors ever De Niro, Brando and Pacino in their prime producing their greatest performances.

Anyone who loves films should have this in their collection. It's one of the greatest films of all time. Superbly written, brilliantly acted it will keep you entertained forever. You will never get tired of these films. There the type of films that you go back to over and over again. The extra's are also brilliant.

Not being old enough to watch these films the first time around i had heard all about them long before I decided to buy this box set. I was NOT disappointed. It really is a claasic series and I would recomend it to anybody who enjoys watching a good solid thriller.
